Remarks

Our college has many good things as well as many bad things. The library and classrooms belong to the good sections and the labs belong to bad. The teachers are also good and other faculties are also friendly. Byt this college needs more teachers and class room to managed to provide good quality of education to all its students.

Entrance Preview

WB +2 , Science, 60% not money only merit is the only need to get admisdion to this college. Student of ICSE and others boards or councils are also eligibale to get admission, but the only need is merit. There are reservation fot SC/ST/OBC as pet govt rule.

Internships Opportunities

As a general(non technical ) College they dont offer any internship facility. And all SC/ST/OBC stipend facility offered by govt are avaliable for all SC/ST/OBC students.

Placement Experience

As a non technical, generel streem college it does not help you to get job opportunity, but after pasd out you canu prepared your self for govt job exams.

The college arranged anual sports, anual cultural programme , where any body can participate along with that this college celebrate Rabindra Jayamti, Swaraswatipuja, Netaji Jayanti, Independence day, Republic Day and some of other festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As a govt sponcered college you have to pay very less amount of fees. Total yearly fees in aggregate Maximum 7000 For science streem and other lab based subject's student and Maximum 5000 For arts and commerce , non lab based students. In this review's monthly expence section there dontt have any option for lessthan 2000, thats why i am selecting 2000-4000 , but in this college u have to pay much less then this.

No a non technical college , you have to pay very little ammount of fees. So no one thinks that they need a loan fron a bank or other institutions.

Campus Life

The campus of this college is awesome. I just fell in love when i first saw the campus. no restrictions beteween Girls and boys, every one is free to experess their selfs. As other west bengal's colleges this college also have a student unions and many students organisations do exists. You are free to choose any of them, and you can promote your opinion in any way. You can fight the student election. You are rich or poor , this does not matter to make new friends.

Hostel Facilities

The college offers hostels facilities for poor and long distance student to get this facility you have to show your total annual incum certificate and your official address proof with the distance of your house from the college as a local studend i did not get the hostel facility but some of my friends was stayed there. They told that the food and broafing facilities are Good enough just for 300 Per months , You have to share your room with another students. But the hostel facilities are only for boys. No girls' Hostel is avaliable in this college.

Alumni/Alumna

I always miss miss out my college friends, those joy full college days , thoes cheerful campuss hang outs. All friendly seniours and juniors those off periods durind when we spends our times in our canteen thats annual functions nights, that momments of union ellections, campaining for our friends.

Exam Structure

This college is affilated by North bengal university, and all exams are managed by the university. All leb based exams are held in any neighbour college decided bu north bengal university for better realiability of exams.

This college offers all honours in all major sunjects , as a govt sponsored college faculty was a mojor problem during our period, bt as of now the govt seriously looking into this problem very seriously and fill 90% Of vacancies.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. We have a placement cell helping students get placed. They keep posting opportunities like internships and fellowships throughout the year to groom students and give them exposure and experience. Placements can go to very high packages like those in Data Science, Big 4 consulting or core finance or banking jobs. CAs, CFAs and FRMs do well in the placements. The highest packages could surpass 12-13 LPA and median packages are close to 6-7 LPA. DE Shaw, Zomato, Myntra, Meesho, TCS and McKinsey are some top companies coming here.
