Remarks

Symbiosis International University is one of top private universities in India. Symbiosis has a brand name plus it offers a rigorous course which makes it different from others. My college, Symbiosis School of Economics is one of the very few colleges who offer Bsc Economics Honours. Compulsory internship every year is one of the another highlights of this college. The main factor which made me choose this college is that it offers a Bsc Honours course rather than a BA Honours course.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty in this college is very good. Teachers are quite young and interactive, students can easily approach them. The course offered is Bsc Honours instead of BA honours which makes the course more of a practical course.

Placement Experience

There is a dedicated placement team which helps you for both placement and internships. Almost all the big companies visit the campus for placement.

Symbiosis offers one of the biggest fest in Pune, which obviously are fun to attend but participating in them is even better. Sympulse is the fest organised by our college and it spreads across a span of five days held generally in Feb or March. It attracts students from junior, under-graduate and post-graduate colleges as participants. It consist of different events, for example: Business and Management, Model United Nation Conference, Showcasing artistic ability in cultural extravaganzas, and Sports. These categories have been personalized to suit the fest and the events take place simultaneously over five days.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel seats are few and are given or merit bases but Private hostels and PGs are easily available near the campus. You can also go for flats but generally first years go for Hostel or PG. Mess is available in all the hostels but PG students will have to join a mess on their own but as it is a college area, different mess are available all around.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

The college is best for placement and club activity

Placement Experience:

In my branch, the placement is good In 2025, 150 students are placed in Wipro, infosys, Amazon and Google like companies the minimum package is seven lakh. Also in my branch one Student it is placed in Amazon with 47 lakh rupees package in college. They already prepare Student for interviews and aptitude test. The placement cell is conduct aptitude test with the Google for students for each semester in that they test our coding skills, English skills and attitude test from that they give us a detail information in which skills are lacking and on which skill we want to work

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

Placement Experience:

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
