Remarks

Good remarks is always teachers and campus life, bad remarks is that they need proper administration facilities to survive because sometimes students have to run for 1 month for getting signature of VC, but day by day it is increasing.

Entrance Preview

The name of Exam was CUCET which used to take place every yaer in the month if may or June. It was not very difficult because it consists of two parts GK and your chosen subject. After that they will take your 12th Board 40% weight-age and CUCET marks 60% and will finalize the result. I scored in CUCET was 32 out of 100 but my 12th board % was 85% so i got selected. I opt for this because they provide you 5 year integrated course collaboration with Central University of Tamil Nadu and whatelse do you need if you will have a tag of central University plus Madras School of Economics.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is really good , well designed by UGC. Since this University is under an act of parliament so all the decisions are taken by central government only. The course structure is like every course have some credit like max 4 and at the end they will count no. of credits you got. We have elective choices also like we can take either Financial economics, Econometrics, Risk Management etc. In the first year student have to read some science subject also because we are doing masters in science so the subject will be like nutrition science, Ecocriticism etc. So overall its well established and reputed course.

Internships Opportunities

I did not do any internship in my institute but yes some of the faculties are taking intern and intern will get access of Wi-fi 24/7, Hostel, and other necessary thinngs generally they are not offering any stipend but some the prof who got some project and if any student work under that then student may get upto 3000/ month.

Placement Experience

5

Coming to the placements it is really very pleasure to say that our institute had 97% placement last year and the highest package was 13lakhs. This institute i think the first institute who offer this much job in corporate field not only this they offer PHD program also those who want to go the research field.

College Events

3

There are cultural programs which used to be celebrated every year there are 4 groups and under them students participate in different games like cricket, football, Table tennis for both boys and girls students used to celebrate all the festivals either Diwali or Pongal or Onam. They are really good at celebrating and don't compromise in these things.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for first 3 year was not very high because first 3 year student has to spent in Central University of Tamil Nadu where expenses of hostel and food is very cheap but after 3 year we have to come to Madras school of Economics where semester fee and hostel fee is very high. So overall its feasible to come and join the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, there is loan facility at campus bank usually comes and give loans to students who need it generally PNB, IOB or CITI bank gives loans there is no any thing called scholarship but yes if a student top in semester exam then institute provide 25000/ Rs.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is really cool we have 500 ace of campus at Central University of Tamil nadu and you can enjoy anywhere all the subjects have different building and different labs. All the sports have different play grounds. Students can go anytime and play.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms are really good, well maintained, well furnished and ofcourse it is sharing. But the student who will top in exam they can get single room. Coming the mess food it is good because living in south India and expecting north Indian food is not very chance of occurance. But if you look at the quality of food its really good. Hostel fee for first 3 year will be 1500/semester but after 3 year it will cost around 55000/semester.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no any comments, they are very helping in nature and alumni used to provide some amount of money for development of department every year. They help us in forming association and tries to help to do some activities every year.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is in two format i.e 40% internal test and 60% semester teachers usually takes 3 internal and out of that they choose best 2 and calculate marks out of 40 and then in the end semester they take exam of 100 marks and convert that into 60.

Faculty

4.5

Talking about our faculty they are really good most of the faculties did their PHD either from foreign or reputed institute in India like IGIDR, JNU etc. They are very good at teaching not only this they encourage the students to participate in extra curricular activities like Debate, Drama one main point of the faculties are that they encourage students to go the field of research which generally people like.

Actually I am currently in seconnd semester right now, I am not sure about the eligiblity criteria for campus placements. But I gathered some informations about the placement process with the help of students who completed their degree here recently. Most of the students having skills in demand based on the company requirements will get selected. Companies with good reputation will visit during campus placements. My aim was to getting placed in a company with good reputation and descent salary package.
