Remarks
The reason for choosing St Teresa's as my alma mater was purely because of the opportunities it presented for women in the field of education. I knew it was the ideal environment for me to grow and develop as a student as well as a member of the society. What I got from the college was more than I expected. The faculty of the commerce department were brilliant and paid personal attention to each and every one of the students of the department. The college provided several opportunities for students, academically and otherwise.
Course Curriculum Overview
The commerce department has a number of teachers with a plethora of qualifications. They are well versed in the field of commerce and accounting and are updated with the latest developments in the field. The department is a conducive environment for research and many of our teachers have published several research papers during their time in the college.
Placement Experience
The college has a placement cell which is well connected with various business organizations like Wipro, Deloitte etc. Students looking for prospective employment can join the placement cell and will be notified when the organization plans to recruit students. The college also has an entrepreneurship development cell which caters to the needs of budding student entrepreneurs by providing them with financial and technical assistance.
College Events
St Teresa's college is known for its extracurricular activities and other events that are conducted in the college. The Teresian Week is a week of celebration and exhibition of the talents and skills of the students consisting of both on stage and off stage events. Each department also conducts festivals which may be inter collegiate or inter departmental.
