Remarks

I choose to attend this college as i am outspoken person and the sub i choose is mass communication, it is not available in any university at graduation level except mahatma gandhi kashi vidyapith. I also don't wanna study graduation away from my city. I wanted to save my money for post graduation. I also have to join coaching institutes for further studies that was the main reason for choosing college which is in my city. I will never prefer this college to anyone over other colleges. As their is not experienced professors. In my sub no professors can teach correctly. Most of the times classes were free no one come to teach. Sometimes the teachers who are pursuing their phd they teach us hand by hand with their studies going on. Their is not professionalism in this college. Worst drawback is the elections. Each day your study will get interrupted by some rallies. Bad canteen facility, in fact canteen stinks badly, outdated library. Most of the classes will not run properly .

Course Curriculum Overview

1

I choose this course as i love to communicate with people, show my perspective, and to express my views. And the mass communication is made for this. Faculty is extremely bad, there is not proper teaching staff, professors are not well qualified, their is no professors for some subjects, as our sub is more related to practical aspect, their is no proper equipment for practical classes , student union have to protest last year to open practical room it was always locked and no one is allowed to go there. There is no qualified professional who know both languages english & hindi correctly. Most of them are only qualified in hindi which make harder for the student who studied from cbse board. Teaching method is very outdate like there is no smart class and if there is professors never use it, we have never been to the smart class and studied digitally. Professors don't give notes they only give lectures. Exams were held once in a year and you have to only study last year papers

Placement Experience

0.5

There is no campus placements offered in our university. After graduating from our university you must need to do post graduation from good university which gives good campus placements. Reputation of getting degree from vidyapith is not much valuable as their is more than 200 affiliated colleges under Vidyapith. People who don't get admitted to main campus gets admitted to private college which is affiliated to vidyapith and hence they also get Vidyapeeth degree. After getting graduation degree i will complete my post graduation from recognized university which gives best campus placements outside my city.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very affordable, if you are selected without paid seat, it approximately between 2000-4000 yearly by if you have selected on the basis of paid seat then it ranges between 6000-8000 per year. If you are and outsider and opt to take hostel then you the fees ranges between 3000-8000 approx. I don't know exactly as i am native of the city and i don't live in hostel. The hostel will provide you the mess food also. If you opt to choose pg and rooms rather than hostel than it will be more budget friendly and there is very cheap delicious food are available in our city you would love it. Choice is yours. Government scholarships option are available for everyone. There is no facility of on campus placements and jobs. Vidyapith doesn't invite companies to give you job. There is no placements cell. You are solely responsible for finding any job.

Campus Life

2

No annual fest occur in our university. If it gets conducted then probably most of people don't get informed about it. From the experience of 1 year i don't heard any news about annual fest. There is only one staff to arrange books so library is outdated, they have books but the books have not been catalogued. There is no amenities in classrooms, even the roof of the my classroom is not furnished. There is not the basic things like chalk and duster, walls are not painted there is mark of spits at the corner of the classrooms. The students who opted sports play at state and national level tournament. Tournaments are also get organized at our college sports stadium. No extra curricular activities goes in our campus except seminars, debate, and rallies. There is only some social group under the supervision of professors like nss or ncc group. There elections parties in our college. Lots of clashes and riots occur during the time of elections, gun firing is done during elections.

Interview Experience

2.5

Admission are based on entrance examination. The course of entrance examination is very easy. Just you need to acquire basic knowledge about the subject for which you are applying. Just read some general knowledge books and that is all. There is no gd or pi round. If you have qualified entrance exam just wait for the call letter pay fees and you will get admitted. I die studied anything for the entrance examination. But you need to have good knowledge about the subjects for which you are applying.

Placement Experience:

For campus placements, 6th semester students are eligible. There are various companies which visit our campus for the campus recruitment process some of them are IDFC First Bank, Adda 24x7, Piramal Finance, etc. The highest package offered was 5 lacs and the average package as per company was 350000. 40-50 percentage of the students are getting placements in the college every year. After the BBA Degree, I am planning for the Masters Degree for better placement. |

I'd rate BA Hons English curriculum at BHU 4.5/5. Strengths: comprehensive literature coverage, language skills development, and critical thinking. Weaknesses: limited focus on contemporary literature and digital humanities. Prepares well for academics, writing, and teaching careers.

The sociology course teaches me the norms of our society and family we live in. This course will provide a vast knowledge about the society and culture and this made me to choose this course. The time given is enough to complete the course and to understand it . The exams are conducted after every six months so the difficulty level is moderate.

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Nov 15, 2024(Enrolled 2018)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
