Remarks

Management is good. The Dean listens to us and makes an effort to accommodate our demands

Course Curriculum Overview

Comprehensive curriculum. Teachers are supportive and there is a lot of guidance in the first year. Good experience. We are taught medical topics related to India and common cases we may see really well. Other knowledge is also touched upon but can be picked up from a text too.

Placement Experience

4.5

I don't think we have placements because you need to do post-graduation also. But I've heard graduated from our college have gotten into good pg courses and eventually good hospitals. We DAMS conducted here sometimes as advertisement. They are a neet pg coaching institute. We've got fliers and sometimes other institutes do come for pg prep advertising. Internship is in our hospital itself. It's for one year.

College Events

4

We have many event. We have our annual fest, then we celebrate various days like world environment Day or mahatma Gandhi Ka sth. All the festivals for hostel + local students. We have lots for workshops for post graduates and doctors and conferences too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very expensive but it is a deemed medical college in Mumbai. Can't expect anything else. Currently it's 20lakh per year. But the reputation of the college is good. DY Patil charges 25 Laks so this is better. Paid by DD or RTGS. Hostel is expensive for what they provide us in that cost. They take 1 lakh as deposit for damage too but that'll be returned if you don't break equipment around in labs. Gym fees r there. You can pay differently for mess if you're not living at hostel but don't wanna bother cooking food

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about scholarship but they do help with loans from banks if you are unable to pay the fees. I think they have a link up with SBI bank because I saw fliers on the notice board.

Campus Life

Campus life is good. Grounds r huge. Boys usually make use of the grounds to organise cricket and football matches. Sometime it's even against interns and post graduates when they get time. Very tolerant of race and culture and different religions. There are students from all over india. There r friendly debates in politics that leads to a lot of fun for the people watching :) and an excellent way for time pass. There is the magazine committee and cultural committee and sports comitte and debate committee etc. There is a dress code. White shirt and black pants for first years and then later nobody cares as long as you dress appropriately. Like you can't wear shorts or sth. It's a hospital. When there r festivals you can wear whatever you want. The doctors apron is a must and people wear it 80% of the time.

Hostel Facilities

No I haven't. From what I know 3 people a room. There is a communal bathroom on each floor and drinking water. You have a gym and an AC wala reading room. They keep one senior with juniors so that they can help the juniors and give guidance. Tagging is a very bad offence and nth has been reported from the girls hostel. Curfew is there. Warden to guard and permission is needed to leave. Parents have to send a mail confirming their children r out of the hostel for a particular set of days.

Alumni/Alumna

There are a few undergraduates who have joined the postgraduate program and are involved in teaching us. Senior students are really help. We go to them about exams and important questions and even cooing with stressful situations

Admission

Gave NEET UG. Entrance based on govt list. The college has a website. Ther release names Ka list over there. You then contact the management. You come to college on admission day. Fill all the forms. You talk to the board of the college. They ask you about why you want to join and why you want to a doctor etc. You get approved, pay the fees and viola. you're a medical student on you way to becoming a doctor.

Faculty

4

Very supportive. As you enter higher years and you show a good interest teachers will support you. If you don't give a damn about studying and are always bunking then obviously teachers won't run behind you. We're big enough to know it's an important field and if not we'll then your loss. Teachers r supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.
