What Students Say?
Likes
- Easily commutable with all types of transportation facilities
- NAAC A+ credited and certified college and has various other credentials
Dislikes
- Limited Faculty members. And lectures overlap many times especially during second year.
- There are not many events held. And industrial visit can be considered nearly zero.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is mostly lecture based that too complete theory. Including activities based teaching method or practicality based practices would likely enhance the input of knowledge to the students from the teachers. And apart from that assignment are also assigned for internal evaluation, but I suggest to replace assignment with something better because mostly students copy paste the assignments directly from web or other students with has zero impact on the students. Presentation, case study are all subjugated to only specific subjects which results in very less inclusion of presentation and case study activities so soft skills can be considered as low.
Placement Experience
From 4 semester students become eligible for placement because in 2 semester we can select specialization till that we have common subjects. The college so far doesn't have any tie ups with MNC's . Majorly startups or small-scale organisations are offered to the students. And placement is also given in internship+ PPO basis with starting package of around 3-4 Lakhs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The fees for MBA programme in AISSMS Institute of Management is 1 lakh, 34 Thousand per year. And for minorities and scholarship based students the fees varies. Around 85000 in the first year for students with ews certificate and in second year around 14000. The institute offers 5 specialization in MBA i.e Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, OSCM and Business Analytics.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is pretty good. But the event and club are not in great numbers. The college only has one main event of Flames during February mostly and club events based on specializations. Apartment from that ther are few committees like ragging committee which only includes the concerned faculty and one or two students Max.
Admission
I applied to Alard and Shri Balaji college. And got admission in both but I rejected the colleges because for Alard the fees was around 4 lakh per year and the area in which the college was located was very inaccessible from my home. And Shri Balaji college, though they were promising guaranteed placements, but the institute was very samll and didn't have a proper campus. It more looked like a private tutoring organization and the concerned person there responsible for admission tries to compell you to fix your seat for admission even if we go for simple counselling.
Faculty
The faculty student ratio is pretty good. And every students can approach the faculties with ease. And they are ever ready to help and support them. The best person of the institute is the director sir very generous and humble in nature and is approachable not only by teachers but also by students. The exams conducted are based on pune university as the institute is affiliated with Pune University.
