Remarks

Usha Mittal Institute of Technology provides an opportunity for the better career for girls. It is a college associated with SNDT Women's university. This actually changed my mind and I took Admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus taught here is limited. The faculty members covers all the syllabus and make it easy for us to study. Our college ranks best in academics and industrial exposure. Industrial visits are planned every year.

Placement Experience

Placements and Job opportunities are generally given from third year onwards. Last year mostly 78 students got placed in companies like Barclay's, Infosys and so on.

College Events

In the case of festivals, our college is on top. Various fests are arranged like IEEE council arrange the best cultural fest. Many students participate in the fests and get awards too. Technical events are also there.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am in OBC category, I availed the scolarship named Post matric scolarship for OBC students. Scholarships are provided for the students who are under category but General students have to pay whole fees. In case of loans, Education loan facility is provided.

Campus Life

Campus Infrastructure is good. However it doesn't matters most, but it is good. Although Wifi is not there. A volleyball court is provided for us in addition to this basket ball court, badminton courts etc are provided. There is a huge library with variety of books and well equipped labs.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. Hostel rooms are spacious with two or three occupancy. Washrooms are attaches to the room. Also there is a lift in hostel. Meals are also involved in the same price. However those who are in the merit list are applicable for the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 38000 per year

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. For campus placement students from 3rd year for my course are eligible. Highest package for my course is 3 LPA. Companies like oberois , hyatt etc . If I'll get better placements then I'll go for it otherwise I'll do masters.

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Since every year 300 students pass out and 150-175 of them get jobs from the college placement and the average salary offered is around 6-7 lakhs. Highest though last year was of 20LPA.

LIFE AT USHA MITTAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

i applied in difffrent colleges like ST. Francis college of engineering, borivali , Atharva college of engineering , malad etc. I didnt make it there as being a student belonging to the open category the cutoff for my desired branch was a bit higher whereas my college provided me with an opportunity to be eligibible for my desired branch.
