Remarks

My overall experience with the college was very nice. The management was very good. The system inside the college is little strict but it is the need for the students otherwise it just becomes a playground. We had a strict rule for formals which was very interesting because not all the colleges follow it and the environment becomes very casual.

Entrance Preview

I gave medical entrance tests and engineering tests as well like AIEEE. But I didnt really score good marks, so I opted for Amity as it was providing the best course. I had to give an entrance and an interview for the same. Amity has world class education system with world class facilities for students.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I did B Tech Biotech. its a four years course, with 8 semesters. The curriculum included subjects like genetics, microbiology, computer science, electronics, physics, chemistry, extra subjects like Behavioural science, french, communication skills, accountancy etc.

Internships Opportunities

We were sent on training to Mohali for internship. it wasnt a stipend but it was for our own experience and it was worth it. Also we had some training programs during the last two years which helped us a lot for our practical knowledge of the subjects.

Placement Experience

4.5

We had a lot of companies during our placement period like cognizant, TCS, HCL, WIpro, Genpact, etc. The placements were really good and of high standards.

College Events

4.5

We have college fests every year, the name keeps changing. The level is medium, we have a lot of sponsors as the name Amity is big enough for people. We also have good bands and celebrities coming during our celebration days. Our convocation is of large scale and is carried out as per international levels, having long parades and all.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Amity provides world class infrastructure and facilities. SO according to that, the fee was apt. It was around 50-60k per semester. It provides scholarships as well. for 80 % to 90% there was around 50 % scholarship and for 90 - 95, it was 75%, and for 95% and above it was full scholarship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Amity provides scholarships to students at the point of their entry to the college. for 80 % to 90% there was around 50 % scholarship and for 90 - 95, it was 75%, and for 95% and above it was full scholarship. This is an estimate figure, it keeps changing,

Campus Life

5

Campus was highly equipped with all facilities. Our labs had all the latest machines and equipment up to date. We had a sports complex with swimming pool, basket ball court, tennis court, etc.we had a lot of seminars from foreign faculties.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels are very big and the rooms were nicely bedded. The mess provides very good quality and variety of food. Apart from the mess, we had Barista cafe. And apart from these facilities, we had a salon, grocery store, gift store, stationery all inside the hostel premises.

Alumni/Alumna

We had a good connection with the seniors, they are all very helpful and supportive. No ragging at all. They are very friendly. Some of the teachers are still friends with me.

Exam Structure

It wasnt too hectic. We had the days scheduled nicely where in we used to get time for everything without getting tired. We were given time for exam preparations, around two weeks or so. Our library is very big with all the books necessary for our subjects, so it was a big help.we had exams after every semester. also we had minor exams during the semesters.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty was well qualified and very supportive & friendly. The teachers have modern ways of teaching using modern tools like computer PPTs, slide presentations, live examples, etc.
