Entrance Preview

I have completed diploma in mechanical engineering with 81.46. So as per Mumbai university procedure for selection I got admission for direct second year engineering .

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was described by Mumbai university procedure for direct second year engineering. It was good enough for engineering. As college is under Mumbai university so there was little scope to change curriculum .

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship as its four year engineering course as described by Mumbai university procedure. But as said earlier some of teachers having industrial experience was good enough for engineering students.

Placement Experience

Almost 75 %students got placements Companies came to campus were L&T, Tecnimont ICB (in which I got my first job) other were L&T Infotech, Infosys And many more. Also local companies came for campus selection.

College Events

College events are most important days in college life. Many days celebrated in college also sports and cultural events were there Zeal is name for the cultural event of college. Where students from other college were invited One of the famous event was for rock band which was also open for all.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is also described by Mumbai university. So there was no change in itI wont say it was less (I took loan for it) but at same time it wasn't to high compared to other college offering same course. I don't remember exact figure but it was around 45000 to 50000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed scholarship from JRD Tata (20000) for first year based on my score in diploma college. I don't remember any scholarship by college was available I took loan from state Bank of India .

Alumni/Alumna

Now a days no need for alumni as many social sites are available to share experiences knowledge and any other things. As few students went abroad for MS all were available on social media to help others .

Faculty

Faculty of college was well educated and having great knowledge of engineering. Few of them were doing further education like M. E. While few of them having industrial experience.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement of this college is average, average package is 4.5 lpa most of the students are eligible from semester 7 The companies like Capgemini, Accenture, mind space, LTI, siemens, eclerx ,etc visited to college campus. In recent mind space give place about 12 lpa. Placement percentage is 80 percentage After getting degree my plan is for higher studies.

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

i had seen Companies visiting like Entrata, Airtel, Honeywell etc..... Highest package till now for currently year is 15 lacks. I had also seen students who are doing interships and are placed there only.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Should I go for VCET ??!!

I stay in goregaon and for me travelling in the reverse direction is easier than travelling to other colleges. The timing of the trains and the crowd is also pretty managable. I did apply for various college. KJ Somaiya and Xaviers are the college were I was accepted but according to my comfort I chose this college. As the Fees is also reasonable and the traveling time is also saved, So for me it was a the comfort zone I'd say. And other college I was rejected due to the score was not compitent as they needed it. It takes admission on the basis of CET JEE so the admission process is almost online they do have their institute round on their website for which the result is also given on the website itself....Read More

Review about recent upgrades at VCET

Admission process is smooth at the college. The management is very clear with all the instructions. Eligibility exams are MHTCET and JEE mains and also diploma in related field.
