Course Curriculum Overview

My course curriculum was very interesting. I always wanted to study Nursing and I finally got a good platform. Regular exams are conducted and assignments are given to students regularly so that they continue doing more and more research.

Placement Experience

3.5

Various medical associations and nursing homes do recruit from our college but there aren't a lot of positions for students. The students who are brighter than the rest get picked up while the others have to figure it out on their own.

College Events

3.5

All events and festivals are celebrated with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm. Students put up cultural functions and teachers also participates. There are annual fairs and fests that are held every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very inexpensive and makes education very accessible to a larger section of the society. There are reservations for SC/ST too. I paid approximately 24,000 for the whole course i.e. 4 years. But this was just academic fees and tuition fees. I did not opt for hostel.

Campus Life

Dance groups and music groups are there in our college that performed on the various fests. We held a lot of competitions in our college. there were sports teams too but there were no coaching and classes.

Admission

Admission for B.Sc (H) Nursing is a two step process. The eligibility criteria requires you to score a 50% aggregate marks in 12th boards which a compulsion of passing marks in English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. After this, a selection test is held for the students who meet the eligibility criteria. It is a 2.5 hours MCQ test. Students who pass it are selected for admission.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very good. Most of the teachers have good prior experience in nursing and are great teachers too. There are permanent professors as well as temporary teachers but all are equally dedicated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

for the first semester the course curriculum has basically been a revision of highschool with some additional information, however from what we have been told by our seniors we do get better more detailed concepts later on. the areas that require improvement are firstly the professors, we need better qmgenuinely knowledgeable people to depend on, and the curriculum to be more modernised and include vocationalisation.

Placement Experience:

Lsr has a very high placement rate in all over du . Infact it has the highest placement package offered to any student in du till now which was 49 lacs. Students sit in placement in their final year and top companies come to lsr like Amazon, McKinsey, D.e.shaw, boston, Blackstone, accenture, etc. The highest package is 49 lacs and average package these companies offers is between 10 to 30 lacs. Most of the students who sit for placement are selected and those who didn't, they get placed off campus. I didn't sit for placements but I did get offer from a political consultancy after doing internship with them . However, i didn't have plan of doing job that time . I wanted to pursue higher studies so I went for masters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is well designed with three main course subject that we call DSE and one elective that is going to give us minor degree and SEC and Vac and AEC , but what I find negatively about sec and vac opting is that we aren't allowed to opt for subject or course we want to study in sec and vac and rather given what they provide.
