Course Curriculum Overview

I pursued B.Sc in Chemistry which is a three year course divided into 6 semesters. The subjects that I studied were very nicely spread over the period of three years. The study load was also normal. Exams happened at the end of each semester for 70 marks.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are extremely lucrative in our college. Great companies like Wipro, Nestle, Godrej etc come to recruit from our college. There is a placement cell that helps us till the end.

College Events

Lot of events are celebrated in our college. Annual Fests, Festivals, Workshops, Guest Lectures, name it and it happens at Thiruthangal Nadar College. We get really great exposure in terms of academics as well as extracurriculars.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of our college is fairly nominal when compared to other private colleges. For my course the fees for the first year was 42,000. So I paid approximately 1,26,000 for my entire course. This included tuition fees only.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are really promoted in our college. There are sports teams, dance groups, music choirs, debate teams etc. All these teams have their internal events as well as inter college events where they compete with other colleges.

Admission

Admissions in this college happens through the merit list. I scored 66% in my 12th boards and got admission after filling out the application for and getting my documents verified. It is a simple process.

The teachers for Thiruthangal Nadar College are some of the finest. I had the pleasure of studying under some of the best teachers who were not only knowledgeable but also dedicated in their profession.

Life in HIMT

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

LIFE IN HIMT COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

I am placed in MOLMI. And sincerely thank HIMT for the placement. The other companies who Recruits cadets from HIMT are Zodiac, MOLTA, Sanmar, Genco, Ozler ONE shipping etc . HIMT have good placement records of 100%, if you have no arrears then for sure will get placed

This is the best college overall

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Remarks:

I got this college through Mci. The campus was beautiful also after asking to the students over there I got to know that the whole course will be in English so no issue of language in teaching and also the teachers are friendly and supporting and there is no ragging in the campus.

Best Arts and Science college in North Chennai

One of the Main good Aspects of college is the Quality of Education. All the teachers are dedicated to the growth of Students. Portions will be completed on a date prior to Exams. Another good thing about this college is that there will be a lot of tests conducted by Teachers. By preparing for this class test with minimum effort will be enough to get passed in the University Examination. No need to prepare at the time of University Examination to get passed.
