Course Curriculum Overview

The university offers you with more than ten departments to choose from under the M. Sc program. You can opt for anyone from them depending upon your interest. The syllabus for each program is updated and gives you the required knowledge.

Placement Experience

3.5

You might have to struggle a bit with the placement. Students do not get their desired job offers on-campus. However, if you go for off-campus drives, you can definitely grab some good job with a good salary in hand.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is state university, the fee charged here is quite reasonable. M. Sc is a 2-year course and for the entire course you have to pay somewhere around ?51,000. This fee includes only the tuition fee, exams fee, and other fee, excluding the hostel fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah, you do get scholarships from the university but for that you have to score good and be amongst the toppers in your batch or department. Also, if you are from an economically backward family then you will get some financial aid or subsidy from the government.

Campus Life

The campus is great. Apart from studies, the university emphasizes a lot on sports. You will find almost all kinds of sports facilities in the campus. The classrooms are big and have a lot of space. The labs are also well equipped.

Admission

To get admission in this college, the first thing you must have is a Bachelor's degree. Secondly, you need to have merit in the qualifying/entrance exam. If you have qualified GATE or other similar entrance test then you will be exempted from the university's entrance test.

Faculty

4

The faculty here is good and understand the students well. The way they explain things in the classroom as well as in the laboratories is very good. The teachers are highly qualified and have a lot of experience their respective fields.

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.
