B.E in Electronics and communication

It is one of the standard college for undergraduates and postgraduate courses. College fees and hostel fees were not so expensive. College management and professors were providing good support for their students. There were strict punishment for ragging juniors. So overall i rate the college as 4 out of 5.

Common Entrance Test (CET) is the entrance examination, which we are having in Karnataka state board. My rank was around 2000. As I discussed with my relatives, who all ready completed engineering they suggested KSIT.

"Electronics and communication" was the course opted. 1st year is common to all the branches and remaining 3 years had different subjects. Each semester had 6 to 7 subjects and apart from that 2 labs

We had 8 semesters. In 8th semester we are supposed to do project and I completed my project in college itself under the guidance of senior professor. So dint attended internship.

At the time of passout there was recession going on. So the no of companies coming to campus was less.IBM, Tech mahindra, Nokia Siemens, Motorola, Cisco, Infosys And few more.

Cultural fest "Ananya" took place every year. As apart of culural fest lot of competation used to take place. I used to take part in most of sports/games competation.

The fees structure was not so expensive. Around 2L was college fees + 2L was hostel fees for 4 years of engineering course.Apart from that books fees, exams fees were extra.

I have not opted for any of the scholarship. But I took loan which was offered from Canada bank with an interest rate of 12% year.

Campus life was very enjoyable. Including hostel life it was awesome. Gender ratio was 60:4(boys: girls). We were having freshers party and send off party every year. I'm college we used to have corparate trainings to meet the industry's standards.

Hostel facilities were comparatively good. There were single, doubble and three bad shares rooms. Mess food were okay. 2L was the hostel fees it also covers mess fees.

Every year we were having alumni functions. Seniors supported each and every one of us in all the fields. They helped in placements and most of them are still in contact.

We had 8 semesters for 4 years. Each semesters had main exams. Apart from that each semester had 3 inernals and lab exam.

Faculty was really good. Most of them were senior professor PhD 20% M tech 50% BE 30%. Apart from that there were special class from corporate traniees. Lab faculty was upto the mark
