Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is so interesting.The course focuses on research. Exams are conducted by the college semester wise. This exam structure helps the students to study with a great time. The exams do not leave the students in tension.

The college does not provide any placement to the students. The students have to get the placements by their own. The college give training to the students about the jobs, placements which helps the students very well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for this course is so feasible. This course includes tuition fee for Rs.600 for three year. Admission fee for Rs.50. Registration fee for Rs.140. Other fee for Rs.3,950. The fee for this whole course is for Rs.13,540.

Campus Life

The college organises many activities like; sports activities, annual day, guest lectures, cultural activities, festival celebrations and many more. These activities increase the moral of the students, motivates the students and increase the confidence level of them.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni were so good. They are so supportive, helpful, kind hearted. Every junior had a great connection with them. They are so good at their studies and in extracurricular activities as well. They are so talents as they show their talent in many things.

Admission

To get admission in this college the candidate must have pass his/her 12th with good marks. The candidate must have passed in five subjects of concerned stream to get admission in this course. The admission is granted on the merit basis.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.

"One of the best colleges of my life"

The college is very good in its extracurricular activities. They have various sports activities like football, basketball etc. They also organize cultural functions like fest and fates in which many students take part. They have well maintained library. In order to get admission in this college, you must be 10+2 qualified and a valid degree for the same. But the students are also eligible through merit-based admissions that is from the scores obtained from their 10+2marks. Your application is based solemnly on your merit of 10+2 so if you have a good pecrentage, you can get through the application process very easily. The exam is based on the two different way, first one is internal exam that's has been taken in to the in our college and secondly external exam that's has been taken out of the college e.g - another college.
