Entrance Preview

Madhya Pradesh pre engineering test, All India Engineering Entrance Exam. And few more which are not related with the college I studied in.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Like any other engineering. Divided in 8 semesters. One semester exam. 2 unit tests. One internal and one external. So no different from any other engineering college.

Internships Opportunities

I did not opt for internship. It was not mandatory. And even companies recruiting did not demand for one.As I did not take up the internship so no question of stipend.

Placement Experience

5

It's one the best in the state. It's almost 100%. It's been like that for many years now. And there are some good companies adding every year.

College Events

3.5

Mridaksh is the annual event. It's a week long event. There are more small events. And all over year there is something or the other event going on. Students take the initiative and teachers encourage them.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I did not take loan. So I don't have any knowledge on that. But there must be institutes offering scholarships and bank would also provide loans.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratios are maintained as it has female quotas for every branch like any other regional engineering college of the state. People are involved in the extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel was fine. It's comfortable if you are going there to study. Mess food is OK. College hostel food is not very good in any college. So not surprisingly they are fine here as well.

Alumni/Alumna

I am still in touch with my seniors and my juniors though being an introvert. Some of my batch mates are even in touch with those who were passed out of college when we joined. So a good alumni network.

Exam Structure

Semester exams and monthly unit test. One internal and one external. So not different from other colleges in exam format.

Faculty

4.5

Very good. There were teachers with good experience and good academic background like any other good engineering college. Few had published and presented papers in good universities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.

Placement Experience:

Placements in college are quite good if we compare them with other similar state government engineering colleges. It has a separate TPO (training and placement office) cell which helps students in their placements. Some quite good companies like TCS and Wipro visit the campus for placements. Around 40% of students get placed every year. The highest being 11 LPA. Core competencies the lowest 3.5 LPA salary offered in IT sector companies. Reliance, LNT, Infosys were the top recruiters. Every year students go for internships in BHEL NTPC etc. Companies ( around 30%) Other 70% students go for local transmission plant as the internship is compulsory for everyone. Students organize cultural activities.
