Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum for M.Ed. is related to the studying of different and unique methods of teaching and learning so that students are able to understand better. Further, it involves research in educational tools, studying methods, leadership qualities, educational technologies, etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement opportunities at the college are abundant and the current percentage of recruitment is 85% and has been going up only. The students are made to sit for mock interviews and are made to solve case studies to crack the recruitment rounds.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for M.Ed. from my college was a total of Rs. 35,200 and could be paid in equal installments of Rs. 17,600 annually. In order to make it convenient for the students, they were allowed to pay semester wise, annually or as a whole in the beginning of the first semester.

Campus Life

My college provides various extra-curricular activities such as singing, dancing, arts, dramatics and many more. I was a part of the dramatic society which helped me boost my confidence and taught me how to manage my academics as well my personal interest in a better way.

Admission

I completed M.Ed. from The West Bengal University Of Teachers' Training Education Planning and Administration. The eligibility criteria for students seeking admission in this course is based on the marks secured in B.Ed. which should be more than 50% aggregate marks. Apart from this, the candidates should have done 10+2 from a recognized board or university.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college comprises of some of the best teachers and assistant professors who have a high level of experience in the education field. They are extremely helpful and supportive and take regular doubts of the students so that each and everyone is able to do their best in the future and in examinations.

Placement Experience:

Calcutta University has an active placement cell that plays a crucial role in securing jobs for students. Companies like EXL, Genpact, Infosis regularly visit campus for requirement and the average package offered to students is around 6-6.5 LPA. I have plan, go for Ph. D. or some specialized courses after completing my M.Sc. course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because I loved the subject. Nothing more. The faculty of political science consists of 5 professors and our class strength is 58. The faculty is well qualified and they will cover each and every topic for you. But in the online mode of teaching, you will surely face some difficulties communicating with the professors and the regularity of the class will decrease but in offline mode, you will not face these problems. There will be 1 mid sem exam and 1 final exam per semester. There will be assignments and attendance also carries some marks (In our case, 5 marks per paper). The exams are conducted regularly and they were not much difficult to pass. The faculty will help you as per your need to prepare for your exams.
