- There is no canteen in the campus which was a major issue.
- The location is such that there is not even a proper cafe or an eatery around.
- Some teachers barely focused on providing proper classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was quite irrelevant to be honest. None of it is actually followed in real life. We did not have proper practical classes which I think was of utmost importance rather than rote learning theories which aren't even applicable in classroom.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total admission fees for this course was around 1 lakh which has now been increased to around 2 lakhs which is still less than other private B.Ed colleges. We had to pay extra 600 for exam registration per exam. Scholarship of around 11000 was given.
Campus Life
Campus life was not very interesting as the area was quite small. The surrounding was good tho. Very serene and greenery around. So the air was quite fresh. There were no such clubs or social groups. We did celebrate functions like Holi, Saraswati Puja, teachers day etc.
Admission
I did apply to Siliguri B.Ed college which is a government college but due to some issues my name was witheld because of which I had to apply to this college tho later I did get a call from Siliguri B.Ed college but by that time my admission was already done. Admission in my college depended on grades of graduation. Cut off was around 40 to 50 percent.
Faculty
Faculty ratio was quite less compared to the student ratio. We had a good relation with faculty members, they were quite approachable. Total of four exams are held. It wasn't very tough. Practicing previous years questions should be enough.
Night Life
Our college was day college so night life was not even an option. Sometimes during exams or when we had to do certain projects we did stay late and had quite some fun with everyone together. There's no hostel or cafeterias in college so that was an issue.
