Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum for the MPS course is extremely vast and I got to learn a lot from IIPS. There is a lot of focus on the research aspect of population sciences and the college also encourages publishing our research.

Placement Experience

Since this course has a background in statistics and population studies the course is very well in demand among employers. The college is also very reputed and well known so it is not very difficult to find a job.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees at IIPS is very less considering its great reputation and the opportunities it opens up. The fees for the first year of MA/M.Sc is Rs. 20,300/- and for the second year it is Rs.7300/-, and the Hostel fees per month is Rs. 400/- only.

Campus Life

IIPS has several different extracurricular activities for the students of all departments. There is an intra-college cultural competition called as UMANG and many different competitons such as art, dance etc. are carried out.

Admission

The admission process for IIPS is online. To get admission you have to clear the entrance exam that is held by the institute and it consists of objective questions related to General Knowledge, Maths, Population Studies etc.

Faculty

The faculty at IIPS is very excellent. The professors are really well qualified and they always guide us on research topics, methodology and so on. The professors are very experienced also, with several years of experience.

Placement Experience:

Plans after getting the degree is to build a career in corporate law. Many corporate firms like Bajaj Capital, Bajaj Auto and others come to recruit students. Placements still I feel are less compared to SLS Pune as we are compared to that and here we lose badly.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are pretty good considering the Fact that mostly its the Top 2000-3000 students from Maharashtra that make it to this college. The average Package offered in the college is Around 11LPA while the highest package last year was around 48LPA. The names of the Top companies that have recruited students from my college include Adobe, Amazon and Mastercard. The placement percentage from the past few years has been above 90%. My plans after getting the Degree is either to continue my Cricket Career as a Proffesional or to become a Commercial Pilot.

The Best College Campus

Remarks:

Yes, there is no specific place where we get to know that whether the college is open or not on a specific day like the day which has been declared closed by the government. The college doesn’t provide this facility for us. We have to move all towards our home to the college to get this thing.

Good Institute for population sciences.

The admission process in our college depends upon the results in the last qualifying examination. I got admission in this course after qualifying my Master degree in population education with 70 percent of marks from a recognised university. The minimum eligibility was 55 percent of marks in M.A/M.SC. Students from both the stream are eligible to get admission in this course. After fulfilling the marks requirement, i gave an online test.
