Remarks

Here the teacher is GOD so you can't challenge him, what he is doing is to be accepted whether right or wrong and same you have to write in the exam.

Entrance Preview

I took IIT JEE and took coaching from Kota(Vibrant Academy) and I chose this course because it is the best college for civil engineers in India.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum mainly focuses on the theory part but because IIT Roorkee has some of the most unique laboratories so it provides good access to the student who want to do research. For ex- Geomatics Lab contains instruments worth Rs 2 Lakh to as much as 75 Lakh which are available to students any time they want.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, it provides internships, and generally, students from other IITs and NITs approach here, generally, the stipend is not that much but because the student used to gain so much experience(as the Guide used to involve trainee in some live project so he gets a good exposer).

Placement Experience

Many companies used to approach here, giants like Adobe, Google, Microsoft, etc to even core companies. Their general requirement is coding and decent aptitude with sound knowledge. Generally, Coding based companies offer 15-30 lakh package and some even give PPO on the other hand core and data analysis companies offer around 7-14 lakh CTC.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible, especially for SC, STs because they are heavily subsidized by the government, and if you are even an average student then you can easily get a scholarship called MCM in which students are awarded around 1 Lakh rs per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship which I am still availing is MCM(merit cum means scholarship)in which based on your academic performance you are awarded 1 Lakh rs per year.

Campus Life

The Gender Ratio is very low because students are selected on basis of JEE and because it's India's best institute so diversity is very high. It has a campus area of around 600 acres so it has good greenery with Olympic size swimming pool and other stadiums. Here every type of festival is celebrated and students also participate with others.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are far better than other IITs if you compare because generally there are single/double rooms and after 1st year everyone has a single room with decent(high) internet/LAN Connection but you may have to compromise with the quality of mess food.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

After 1st year there are common bhavans for all so a decent interaction is there with seniors and also alumini used to visit the campus regularly and also many times they come to recruit us.

Placement Experience:

Stuiarw eligible for placement from 6th semester . There are so many companies visited such as wipro, Deloitte, hcl, tech Mahindra, TCS, and many more. Highest package of BTech is 1.24 cr and average package is 40000. Percentage of students get placed is 60%. My plan after degree is to get an good it job.

Placement Experience:

Room for placements can't be better than GEU. As our department which isn't much in demand and still over 80% of placements rate itself is a story worth telling. I am so glad that it is happening and this is the reason I feel so good studying here as I can't do more as placements care are taken by the university very well.

GEU is super amazing!

Placement Experience:

It's in the final year as once the final year begins, students are asked to pull their socks up and go limitless as nearly 100 or rather much more are there at the campus and interest in CSE students is the highest. Also, there's a large section of IT students who are placed from GEU every year and that too without much of an effort.

Versatile college with good RoI

Placement Experience:

One of the best thing I saw here is placement. If a student is willing to do job then this college is appropriate place from him or her.. Students are placed in IT , SALES , FINANCE, EDTECH , TRANSPORT, DRUGS , etc Students are eligible for jobs and placed from the beginning of pre final semester and can apply in each and every company as per required skills. Not big tech Faang companies visit the campus but a decent level IT companies and limited visit the campus. And conduct their interviews and exams process. Although interview rounds are tough and offcourse nail biting competition among the students. The highest package this year till now 34 LPA by an American MNC . Average package is 550000. Approximately 90 percent students got placed in different domains and fields. My plans are so clear. I will take the job first in IT companies and get some experience on ground level and will grow further.

GEU is a world class place to study!

Placement Experience:

Pringle, The Sleep Co, Lenskart, Luscious, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Google, Facebook and every tech company which potentially can come have come to our college for placements. On and average placements worth 6-40 LPA are common. Since some students miss out so on a whole the placements average stands a little below 10 LPA.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
