Remarks
ICFAI is a brand in itself. I did my CFA from ICFAI University. I am aware of its teaching pedagogy and the level of competence of the think tank and the Professors of this University. The admission to Phd program was done following all the UGC guidelines. The entire process was conducted smoothly and efficiently in proctored environment. The Research Aptitude Test and the interview process were held online . The results were also published in time.Since I am a working Professional in Industry in a Senior Position I always wanted to do a Phd (Part Time)in Management and IUJ gave me the best option. Moreover I preferred ICFAI Jharkhand considering its strategic advantageous location also, since my home town is in Dhanbad and my work place is in Kolkata. In future presentations & classes it would be helpful for me. I was always confident about ICFAI Brand and the Phd in Management (Part Time) of IUJ is one of the best in India, considering its standards, contents, & teaching pedagogy.
Course Curriculum Overview
Presently I am working as AGM (F&A) in WBSEDCL for the last 25 years. I am a MCOM, MBA (Gold Medalist), FCMA, ACS, CFA, MIFA and a Certified CSR Professional and also a certified GST & Forensic Audit Professional with several articles to my credit. Since I have planned to shift to academia in near future ,I had a great urge to do a Phd in Management (Part Time) . IUJ gave me this opportunity. The Phd would add a lot of value and complete my profile for a solid entry to the academia which will synergize my industry experience with academics in future, The faculty student ratio in Phd is about 1:4 and even the VC Sir interacts regularly in each of the interactive sessions. I must admit the entire Phd team is brilliant having a mix of experienced and fresh talents from academia. Most of the Professors are Doctorates and also having wide Industry experience and in academics. The exams are being held timely & results published in time. The course work teaching methods are simply outstanding.
Internships Opportunities
The internship facilities and Industry tie up is simply encouraging. A lot more needs to be done in the near future to leverage the skill sets of the graduates and qualified students. The past trends are highly encouraging. The vision of the leader ie the VC Sir, and the ICFAI University is exemplary. I wish the University and success and laurels in the days to come.
Placement Experience
I have my own reasons and plans to shift to academia after completing my Phd from ICFAI University, Jharkhand.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for the Phd Programme is reasonable considering the standards of ICFAI group and since it entails working professionals . I am of the opinion that its a reasonable and affordable fee structure for working professionals and considering the value it would add to their resume and future prospects.
Campus Life
Since our classes have started after June 2020, we have not been able to physically visit the campus at Ranchi. However from you tube videos and mt personal experience and interactions with earlier Phd scholars, it is understood that the facilities are simply brilliant. The way in which IUJ is progressing under the dynamic leadership of our Vice Chancellor Sri ORS Rao is simply noteworthy. Within this short span of time the University has proved its worth in academia, campus placements, research activities, scholarships, social activities, and what not. It has received several awards and top rankings including our Vice Chancellor Sir. The entire team of Professors and the back up team and non teaching staffs are hard working and a charged up group of highly competent professionals.
Interview Experience
It was a very rigorous and tough Research Aptitude Test and Interview. Moreover after admission and in Course work 1, there were online quiz, assignments (both Off line & online), Group Discussions, response in classes, LMS activity, and a host of other parameters on which the Phd scholars are being assessed. The entry to Phd program strictly follows the UGC norms & guidelines.
