Journey to become a doctor

The overall college environment is great and cool without any restrictions. Everybody is friendly here. You can get irritated sometimes because of the hectic schedule bit life is all about adjusting and moving forward. I still feel joining this college was my best decision.

Biochemistry is a 3 year full time course. It is divided into 6 semesters. The course is nicely scheduled without imposing much pressure on students. There are regular classes. Labs are also taken regularly. The most important thing here is to be in track with the on going lectures. Missing any lectures can cause problems.

The placements here are very good. You can get placed after 6 months of internship with good pay. Even when i did my internship in first year, i got paid 5000 rupee per month. Even there is a good option of placement in Geetanjali Hospitsl itself.

The college is quite active when it comes to cultural fest. There are freshers and annual day celebrations. Everyone is free to participate. The college encourages students to take part in maximum events possible.

The college fee to be honest, is quite expensive. Hostel fee alone charges one lakh. Tuition fee is roughly around 1.25 lakhs. There is also additional charges for the things not included in the tuition fee. Doing any course in this college is quite expensive but we do get equal benefits from the college.

No. There is no such thing like a scholarship. But college provides scholarship just for the deserving merit candidates. There are also a few scholarship options fo SC, ST candidates, but for general category no such options are available.

Workshops are occasionally conducted. Once in a few months, guest lecturers are invited to give important lectures. The female to the male ratio is quite low but no gender bias is shown. All of us are given equal priorities to participate in any event of interest.

Our seniors are of great help to us. They guide us for our exams and practicals. If anytime the required faculty is not available to help us, then we can reach out our seniors without any hesitation. The alumni of our college our well settled and working in greats posts now. Many of them are settled in foreign countries as well.

I already completed my MBBS with 85%. I was pretty confident that i would get an admission in a good college nearby me. I applied for certain colleges and luckily got selected in Geetanjali Medical College. This is a quite reputed college around to where I live.

The faculty of our college are really good. They are very friendly. They maintain a very close relationship with the students. They help us during any difficulties. They even hangout with us sometimes.
