Course Curriculum Overview

B.A. (Hons.) (English) is a course that requires imagination and understanding. During my time, we were allowed to think out of the box. However, the curriculum was strict regarding the examination structure and I think it still is.

Placement Experience

4

I was offered a lucrative package and a promising future by an esteemed company when I was almost about to graduate. Hence, the placement and job opportunities at the university are indeed very well structured.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for B.A. (Hons.) (English) at Haringhata Mahavidyalaya, Nadia is ?12,705 for three years. In my opinion, it is inexpensive if compared to any other university offering the same course and hence, worth taking the plunge.

Campus Life

The college allowed its students to organise several events in the college. These included cultural evenings, fests, seminars etcetera in which students actively took part. My personal favourite was the Annual Fest.

Alumni/Alumna

Our alumni network has always been strong. When I was in college, our seniors used to visit us the same way, I always make sure that I attend alumni meets and other events and help the current students to be the best version of themselves.

Admission

I am currently working with a big company because of Haringhata Mahavidyalaya, Nadia as I completed my B.A (Hons.) (English) from that college. It had the easiest admission procedure, completely based on merit.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of my course were extraordinary. They were too engrossed in teaching and passing on their ideals of thinking to us. They made us fall in love with our subjects. I am grateful to have been taught by these teachers.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement is a race here. Handfull of good companies with good roles will come but they take good chunk of students. So be prepare for that and don't worry about getting good companies, here many companies offers better packages than those good companies.
