Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very tough and elaborated. The syllabus is divided in semesters with the level increasing every semester. We spent lot of our time in labs mostly researching and acquiring data for analysis and then making a report. We have to give so many assignment, per week, which was very tiring.

Placement Experience

We were made to be a part of a team in our first year itself. Initially there was not much work just simple codings, statistics and data analysis but gradually we were given more important positions and also with a stipend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Apart from the tuition fee we also had to pay evaluation fee. Per year fee was around 10,000 with 2,000 more as an evaluation fee. This extra 2,000 was for the evaluation of our thesis or projects that we have to submit at the end of our course.

Campus Life

The institute have one of the best labs. As it is based on research all the equipments are available here and all with latest technology. More than classrooms we had labs. We go on tours and educational trips and there ar many seminars.

Admission

I was always interested in research so after doing my B.Tech. from Delhi University I gave GATE to pursue masters degree. Fortunately my scores in graduation and scores in the entrance exam got me admission to the institute.

Faculty

The teachers have high educational background and many years of experience not only in research but also teaching. They teach is with the easiest method possible and simplify things for us. We also had discussions in the class.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

The college is best for placement and club activity

Placement Experience:

In my branch, the placement is good In 2025, 150 students are placed in Wipro, infosys, Amazon and Google like companies the minimum package is seven lakh. Also in my branch one Student it is placed in Amazon with 47 lakh rupees package in college. They already prepare Student for interviews and aptitude test. The placement cell is conduct aptitude test with the Google for students for each semester in that they test our coding skills, English skills and attitude test from that they give us a detail information in which skills are lacking and on which skill we want to work

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

My college

Placement Experience:

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
