Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is nicely designed, and very thorough. It starts from the absolute basics, given that we come to the college without really having studies much about design. The course slowly build our knowledge. Internships, industry visits and field trips, guest lectures, workshops, projects and shows are all incorporated in the course curriculum to help us get a detailed understanding of the entirety of design, and the specialisations offered help us choose a career path properly.
Placement Experience
In the past few years, we've had leading companies across the world like Reliance, HP, Viacom, Titan, Shoppers Stop, Wildcraft, Pantaloons, Swarovski and Oppo recruit from the college. Internships are also provided to the students for some real-world experience.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is on the expensive side, with the total 4-year course costing about 18 lakh rupees. it is certainly not affordable for everybody, but considering all the facilities and infrastructure provided, the fee comes about as feasible for the most part.
Campus Life
A variety of workshops are held at the campus, with different individuals involved in the industry. There are design shows and exhibitions held for inspiring the students. There are different extracurricular activities held too. Almost all festivals are held fervently in the campus, and different activities such as dance, drama, music, are encouraged. Sports are promoted too, with football, cricket, bandminton ground and courts available for students to use.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are very good. There are different rooms available as per the student's capability and requirement. There's amenities such as in-house dining, canteen, internet services and dedicated study rooms that help in creating a good environment.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a strong alumni network, with all of them maintaining a connection to their alma mater. The senior students are helpful, guiding us in diffferent aspects as we slowly got used to life in theu campus.
Admission
Admission to UID is on the bass of the common admission test UID DAT, held every year. I scored well in the test, and hence, I was able to get admission in the college. UID has a great reputation, hence I decided to take admission here.
Faculty
All of the faculty members are very qualified, having studied Design from some of the best institutions. They help foster our ceativity and imagination, and we find our own strengths thanks to their help and support.
