My SSUS life

My course had a duration of 2 years with 4 semesters. We had 12 core courses and 12 elective courses. At the end of the 4 semesters, we had to the dissertation. I felt the curriculum was quite appropriate as it covered most of what I was interested in doing in the future. We also had many guest lecturers coming and giving their output.

The placement cell didn't have many companies to offer jobs but we always had their access at our disposal. We were given resources and free accessibility to them. We had multiple trainings and mock interviews to give us the experiences we needed to look for jobs. The cell also launched a service to help the students who wish to join the UPSC, we get training and tuitions and other help.

Our college fees are very feasible compared to other colleges. I paid a total of 5,615 rupees as my course fees. There were some other fees we paid but they weren't all that expensive, The fees are quite sensible when you think about the other courses that are much more expensive.

My college offers a variety of endowments to students who warranted them. Many concessions are also offered by the government. We also had scholarships for students who were eligible. There was also the EOC - Equal Opportunity Cell which was financial support offered by our university.

Our college had many students participating in cultural programmes. I joined the NSS, we also arranged the blood donation drive and many other events. There are many societies we joined, they were all very entertainng and helped us develop our skills.

My admission process went smoothly because of the help of the staffs there. I applied to the university and they told me i had to sit in for an interview. After which they decided my admission with the marks i got for my bachelors as well as the interview that was conducted.

Our faculty has the best teachers ever. They are so dedicated and helpful especially our HOD. We could access them through phone and email. They also wouldn't mind if we went to the staff room to ask doubts. The guest lecturers they chose were also very qualified in helping us learn more on the subject.
