Life at Raiganj Surendranath Mahavidyalaya

The subjects in the course curriculum are all relevant and important to understand the basics of the field. The main honours subject is well-designed, and we don'[t have any problems in understanding the chronologies of complex subject matter. The subject combinations are great as well, supplementing our knowledge. The University holds regular exams, yearly, and there are smaller exams held in between.

The placement scenario is alright, but there is scope for significant improvement. There is a Career Counseling Cell in the college, which helps the students in preparation for job interviews, and also connects them with possible recruiters.

The fees required for the course is quite affordable. In fact, the three-year course only costs about 17,000 rupees, which is nit very high an amount for the average person. The education quality is good, so the fee structure is feasible.

There are different sporting activities in the campus, along with a number of other extracurricular activities that students participate in. The college has an Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell and an Anti-Ragging Cell. There are different laboratories and a good library. Workshops and seminar are held occasionally. There's a Student Union in the college.

Admission to this college is in the basis of 10+2 results. I applied here, having heard good reviews from others. I made the cut-off marks and I got admission. Raiganj Surendranath Mahavidyalaya is affiliated to Gour Banga University, which is a state university, and that was also a major factor in my decision.
