SUMIN's Review On Government Medical College Paripally - [GMC], Kollam

This is a four year program divided into eight semesters. The course teaches us hoe we can serve the society through medical treatment and achieve the optimal health and quality of life.For 1 year we even have to work as junior staff nurse.We are also given assignments to check our thinking skills and competence which is required later on for the practice of professional nursery and midwifery.

Last year my college recorded a 80% placement record. The highest salary offered to my senior was around 1 L per month . The average was 45000 per month . Our college also offers various internships programs at various hospitals and the stipend for the same starts from 7000 per month.The ranking of college is 3.5/5 which makes it one of the best medical college in the country.

The fees is around 9500 per year which is quite feasible as compared to any other medical college . This fees is excluding the hostel & mess charges . We also have to pay admission fees at the beginning of the college which is non refundable.

There are many events of events such as face painting competition , rangoli making , cultural arts and many more organised by our college student club to narrow the regional differences between the students belonging to different states.Labs of are college are well equipped with latest technology. Various sports tournaments are also held , for the students to show case their talent.

The infrastructure of the college is really very good . We are provided with seminar halls , auditorium which has a seating capacity of 300 students at one time. Mess and canteen are both available and the food quality that they offer is really commendable. We are also provided with WiFi facility and e-library.The hostel rooms are really very clean and big . Their are separate chair and table offered to students for study.

You need to clear NEET entrance exam to get admission in this college with your course. Besides you need to have 50% in your 12th standard with PCB as the major subjects.You need to wait for the merit list that will be published on the college website. I was lucky enough that I have my name in the first list . After that I was called for document verification and later granted admission.

The teachers of our college are really very knowledgeable . Every doubt are answered by the teachers . They tell us about the know about of the hospitals , their working and many more . In short I would say that the teachers are really supportive and every teacher have a different style of teaching which helps the students to understand the subject better.
