Utkal University in Culture - An Overview

I love my university, as it provides several things that helped me become confident and optimistic about my career. We have the most experienced and skills faculties on board with us. The university offers really good job opportunities, has well-equipped classrooms and labs and so much more.

The prescribed course curriculum is very helpful for students to get in to amazing companies coming for on-campus recruitment or any other off-campus companies. As it is known there are two semesters in a year which includes practicals as well as internals.

I think that it is the best university in terms of placements and job opportunities. As informed by seniors and alumni, most companies that come for recruitment are government which offers acceptable salaries with lots of adventures. The university also provides the option to apply for any off-campus government or private companies.

There are several events which can be observed in the campus premises like orientation days, fresher days, department functions etc, every year, We also have sacred celebrations as well as festivals like Saraswati puja, holi and many more, leaving us with a cheerful environment for a year. We have various observations of national and international important days.

Well this a government university that provides various facilities with minimal fees. I think that the fee structure of our university is economical and totally feasible for students from any background who want to pursue their dreams. The total fees for my 2 years duration master's course is Rs 8,660 which includes tuition fees, semester fees, cultural fees and many more. Tuition fees for odd semester is more than even semesters. The university also offers the provision to pay the fees on a yearly basis.

If our university is very good at academics, doesn't mean that we don't have any exciting extra-curricular activities. The NSS cell of our university is active all around the year. We have various blood donation camps, awareness programs like child labour awareness, female infanticide awareness and many more. As an extra-curricular activity, the PG students go for a study tour or field guide trips every year. The university even hosts several workshops, seminars, panel discussions, conferences etc.

I have not opted for hostel as I am a local, but have friends staying in hostels. According to them the hostel facilities are really good. They have spacious big rooms with 6 students in a single room, hygienic and always cleaned lavatories, mess providing good food, Wi-Fi facility and as such. If I would have to rate the hostel out of 10. I would rate it a 7. Because the thing which I don't like is a dormitory. These hostel provision are for both boys and girls.

For getting admission in a master's degree for this university I had to go through an entrance exam before. After filling the application, the dates for entrance exams were out. As I qualified in the exam, my name was on the merit list on which basis I got admission in this university.

Our faculty members are very benevolent as well as caring. They take regular classes which are very interesting to attend. They also impart practical knowledge in classroom teaching which can be really useful for a student in their upcoming future. They even clear any doubts or questions related to their field of excellence without any hesitance.
