Our college provide great managerial inputs for food costing and kitchen management. this course is aimed to produce professional chefs to cater the allied and hotel services.One of the things that I like during practicals is that the food handling , standards of food and hygiene are taken care of. ICI Noida has collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University in order to refine the skill level. I will highly recommend you to join this institution if you have interest culinary art.
Course Curriculum Overview
This Three year program equips the students in the college with all the required skills and expertise and attitude in order to discharge their duties as a culinary specialist and kitchen chef.For the first year I have learned about operational areas of food production in Indian and international cuisine.
Placement Experience
100% placement is nowadays a USP for brand CAI and because of which many students are interested in taking up this course. Really good packages are provided by various reputed hotels and cruise lines such as Taj Hotel , ITC group of hotels, many international and national carnival cruises. My seniors this year have been placed at highest ranks of the kitchen hierarchy with was only possible because of the goodwill that our institution posses which it has build up with sheer hard work over the years.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fees is around 75000 with exam fees of 2000 every semester and a admission fees of 1000 which is to be paid in the first year of college. Therefore the total comes to 1.53 lakh every year which is quite responsible seeing the quality and service they provide .
Campus Life
The labs are really very good and many cultural meets and conferences are held to provide wide exposure . Moreover our college also take us to tours to see the management of different 5 star hotels which is a good experience itself.Therefore I would say that overall it is a really good institution.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are quite good and we have well maintained kitchens. We are using European culinary facility and each of our labs are digitalis-ed and well maintained. We have seven working kitchens and a good college library in which the variety of books that are available at an individuals disposable are commendable.The lunch is made within the college and is served at the students dining hall with different cuisines everyday.
Admission
My admission was done on the basis of written entrance test ( ICI entrance exam) . I was given the Noida campus as the campus and course are normally given on the basis of rank obtained in the written test. There are 20 questions each from five sections that are numerical ability , general knowledge, English language, reasoning and lastly aptitude in the service sector. Various test centers are also provided in the form which one needs to fill online and the fees for the same is 1000 for general and obc category but 500 for sc/st/pwd . Thereafter after selection I was called for verifying the document and given admission.
Faculty
The faculty of our college are really up to the mark . We have our theory as well as practical classes . Our college recently have taken us to an industrial tour to one of the top 5 star hotel so that we gain knowledge from it.s kitchen chefs and staffs in Hilton, Bangalore.Our teachers really help us in planning our future aspects but sometimes they are equally strict when our work is not up to the mark which I think is really required sometimes in order to carry out the rules and regulations.
