Remarks

Good collegues, bad management, a few good lecturers while most of them were of hardly any help and lacked any information. Our computer labs usually ended up being a cyber cafe.

Entrance Preview

Neither, Step in interview. It was usually based on how creative or observant the student is, which I was lucky enough to get through.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Not bad, However post 3rd sem things went down south where there wasn't anyone specialized to teach the subjects and we were reduced to heavily rely on Internet and other sources for further studies

Internships Opportunities

There was none, luckily the college did get me to have good contacts which landed me a job in the mid of 4th semester. But the rest of the classmates either got some short internship where they worked for free or ended jobless.

Placement Experience

1

Bad. Many of my classmates ended up jobless for a year or two or, ended up changing the field, only a few of the guys ended up staying in the field.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was expensive landing up to 2 lac per sem.

Campus Life

2

There was about 1:3 female to male ratio No hostel parties Not a lot of workshops, however we had enough fun with the guys at college. All Indian, but multiracial, very political college.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Bad, although they tired changing mess which inturn ended up being worse than the prior each time.Hostel was over the cost and had many unwanted rules, we ended up renting a room and splitting it with other mates.

Alumni/Alumna

We've only had Seniors in college were super helpful and even very informative on any job openings etc.

Faculty

2

In short, the faculty knew the basics but weren't too good when it came to the specifications and even in the basics I have learnt a lot on job than while in the University.

Indian Institute of Science - [IISc], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Mathematics)

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
