Course Curriculum Overview

My course has fundamental details of commerce. Also, it has some of the details of finance. It has a syllabus which gives the student information about business management. The course is of three years. These three years are divided into six semesters.

Placement Experience

The college gives training to the students as well as provide all the materials necessary for getting a job. There is a placement cell which consults with companies to come to the campus. Every year many students get placed in these companies.

College Events

There are very few events celebrated at my college. Seminars and workshops are the main activities organised by this college. Students tend to participate in these seminars to showcase their talent and also learn something interesting and fruitful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very low as compared to other colleges. Yearly I am paying about Rs. 6200 for my B.Tech course which means I have to pay nearly Rs.19000 for the course of three years. Other courses are also quite affordable.

Campus Life

Many workshops are organised at my university. Students tend to participate in these workshops to gain knowledge about differing t engaging topics. There are fewer sports activities at the university.

Admission

It is very easy to get admission in this college. I got admission in this college on the basis of a 10+2 certificate. Other courses like M.A. and M.Com need a bachelors degree to get admission in this college.

Faculty

Very experienced faculty are in this college. They prepare handwritten notes for the students so that they get the subject easily. They also tend to give the project works to the students and also help them in the studies.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

The Directorate has proper infrastructure in the form of halls for Personal Contact Programme (PCP), seminar presentation, viva-voce and counseling sessions. Directorate of Distance Education has also established a network of UG Learners Support Centres at Rajouri, Kathua, Udhampur, Bhaderwah, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar to ensure effective academic and administrative support to distance learners.
