Course Curriculum Overview
The B.A English course requires us to delve deep into the works of fiction we have to study. We have to chalk out summaries and characterizations. Besides that, it is compulsory for us to learn industry specific subjects like Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop.
Placement Experience
In the B.A English course, most people gun for at least an M.A after this and very few opt for jobs. Despite this, there is a career guidance and counselling cell in college who are always available if you are in two minds about how you should go about your career.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since it is a government college affiliated to the University of Dibrugarh, the tuition fee is peanuts. We have to pay Rs 6,110 in the first year and then Rs 5,897 in the next two years of college. It is a very reasonable price for the high level of education they impart.
Campus Life
Fitness is a major issue in the college and we even have a fitness hub, whose monthly charge is a paltry Rs 50. Besides that, we have a book bank for economically backward students where they get textbooks for the whole year at only Rs 20.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities in the college are par excellence. But the best part of the facilities are the labs. The science labs are hi-tech and well-stocked. We also have a psychology lab, which is used by Psychology and Education majors students for specific studies.
Admission
Doomdooma is a well reputed college and to secure admission here, you must have commendable results in your board examinations. You have to fill in the application form and wait for their merit lists to come out.
Faculty
All our professors have a Ph.D in the subject they teach and this ensures that when it comes to the academic portion, we are getting the best. Our Head of the Department is Dr. Champa Rao Mohan, who always strives to reach perfection!
