Remarks

The college is good overall the only drawback is the placements. The college provide so many facilities for the students like library with good books and research material, canteen with good food, clean campus, etc in such low fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

The subjects taught in this college for this course i.e. MA(english) are poetry, drama, fiction, language, etc. The assignments and viva carry marks and will ne calculated at the end of the semester. All courses have different criteria.

Placement Experience

2.5

The college provide very few placements which is not that great and up to the expectation of the students, but if any student initiates and finds job on his own then the college appreciates the effort and I personally feels like the student will get better opportunity in getting job on hos own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is a two year course, basically mostly postgraduate courses are of two years, so the fee for this course is approximately Rs. 10, 000 which is very cheap and anybody can afford it. There is no extra fee a student has to pay only admission fee is to be paid.

Campus Life

There are certain events like cultural events, sports events, NSS programmes, seminars, competitions, and recently the the college is spreading awareness about the most recent topic and a big problem these days i.e. Covid-19.

Admission

The admission in this college for post graduation degree is done on merit basis and the eligibility to get admission is the student must have done graduation from a recognised university and scored minimum expected marks in the graduation.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college are always interested in teaching specially in my course I've observed this thing, after all the subject is very interesting so the teachers always are motivated and excited to teach students.

Course subjects are overall good for all branch. But, if a student is interested in giving competitive exams like GATE, then he must be facing problems as the semester course is more theoretical related and boring, the same old style education system.

The placement situation at IIT KGP is one of th e best among Engineering Colleges in India. With an average package of around 2200000 and overall placement percentage of around 80 (B.Tech+M.Tech). Students become eligible for placement either if they get PPO(Pre Placement Offer) from the company they are interning in in the 5th semester or when they are in the 7th semester when placement season begins. Around 1800 offers and 400 PPOs were made in phase 1 which includes 25 international offers. There were around 400 companies that visited. The highest offer was 21400000. Top profiles are Software, Data, Finance, Consulting, Quant and Core.

I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The structure of curriculum is not so great. Definitely there is a scope for improvement . We are under MAKAUT university and through job readiness perspective the structure of curriculum is below average. Lots of inclusion of different subjects are needed along with the exclusion of lengthy monotonous subjects which doesn't yield any result.
