Entrance Preview

GATE, 867/1000, it has a very good ranking in india. Curicullum is also nice. Apart from this there are lot of other recreational activities like gym , swimming pool, sports etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was divided into 4 semesters. Most of the burden was there in first 2 semesters. It included most of the core subjects and professional electives. In the rest two sem, major weightage is for project part.

Internships Opportunities

For internships there are lots of companies which visits our campus. I was not selected in anyone. Like qualcomm, goldmann sachs etc. general stipend offered is around 20k per month and the internship period is around 2-3 months.

Placement Experience

Placements scenario is very good. Many companies visited campus this year and offered a good amount of package to students. 80 % students have been placed so far.

College Events

There are various events take place here. Technical fest tryst is going to happen now. Apart from it, rendezvous also takes place in which students from all over the country take part.

Fees and Financial Aid

Various scholarships like merit based on the cgpa and mhrd scholarship for Mtech and phd students who come after clearing GATE and net exams are awarded.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meet happens every year which is a good platform to meet the alummni and take advices from them. They are very kind and cooperative. Senior students also help whenever required.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is sometimes hectic. One may have 2-3 exams in a day. But the exam days are less which gives a very good feeling of finsihing exams in a very less time.

Faculty

Faculty is very nice and cooperative. They are highly qualified and knowledgeful persons. They clear doubts in the class itself not like others who gets annoyed sometimes. They do help whenever required.

For M.Tech students our college allow 12 Month intern and companies will start visiting for this from the month of October itself and some companies also offer full time offer. These include companies like Striker, Siemens EDA, NXP Semiconductors, Intel etc. These companies generally offer stypend of around 40-60K and Symens EDA offered full time offer. At the end of the 2nd year almost 90% of the batch is placed and average is around 14 and median around 13.

Placement Experience:

placements are offered on the campus. the last mass recruiter was google and facebook. hcl and microsoft. they hired lot of students and the highest package offered was 30lakh per annum and it was amazing. i was quite amazed. i was offered 15lakh package after bachelors but i wanted to go fot masters and hetr i am.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in power electronics that's why I opted for this course. In different iits they float the different program like in iit kanpur there is power engineering & in iit delhi there are mtech program in power electronics, control, power system etc. Overall on combining all the sub domain of electrical approximately 80-90 gets student got admission in iit delhi in 2022-23. After getting admission, within two month we have to give minor exam & the pattern of exam & time schedule highly attracted me.

Best years of My life!

Placement Experience:

placements are very good and each year the numbers keeps on getting better. In year 2022, 50 students got offer above 1cr. and over a 1000 students got placed in 15 days. The average package goes upto 20 lakhs. Computer science and Electrical departments have the best figure in terms of placements. Mostly companies come for frofiles like Software Developer , Quantitative researcher/ trader, Data scientist/analyst and hardware engineer(VLSI).

My first iit experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

i chose this course as handeling a project in civil engineering seems very intruiging to me. we have 22 students in our class. faculty in iit delhi are highly qualified and the teaching methods adopted are very interactive and interesting. we have to mid semester exam and one final semester exams, the shcedule for which is provided in the beginning of the semester itself.

Remarks:

I.I.T. Delhi is really a student friendly they always take advice from student as well as experts and professors. I.I.T. Delhi community always tries to help each others. I haven't faced any bad aspects throughout my 1 year experience. Our admission starts in the peak of covid, I have submitted my fee payment in the last date 31st July 2020, Registration ends on Sept 17, 2020. Reason that I am here is I.I.T. Delhi is known for world class research in the field of optics and photonics and I am interested in this area of research also there is no other institution in India that can be better than this in this particular area of research.I am happy to share that I.I.T. delhi starts new Department·Optics and Photonics Centre from this year (2021) which creates more scope for students.
