Course Curriculum Overview

The university follows a semester system and the syllabus itself is well designed. The term end theory paper is of 60 marks, and here are some allotted marks for attendance as well. The questions usually have both objective and theory type questions.

Placement Experience

There are no placement opportunities per se. The job market in Srinagar is quite narrow and the biggest employer tends to be the tourism industry. There are others as well and the professors support us in whatever ventures we attempt.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is a bit steep. In comparison with other courses in the country, the fee is quite high. The fees for B.Com Hons is Rs. 59,250 Rupees and is quite unaffordable. But, the quality of professors and classes offsets the cost.

Campus Life

The university has a lot of activities for the students, and it is a great opportunity for the students to make friends. There is a very good and well maintained library at our service as well, and you can borrow up to 3 books for 20 days.

Admission

The entrance exam that we had to clear in order to secure a seat. The competition was tough and there were a lot of people who attempted. There is an application form as well that has to be submitted.

On Average, the faculty is quite good. The professors have all at least cleared NET or SET examinations and most of them have PhD's or are doing their PhD's. Many of the professors in Cluster University, Srinagar have been teaching for several decades now.

Placement Experience:

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

IIM Jammu is a spring breaker!

Placement Experience:

Till we are doing BBA there are no placements but from 4th year we are posted directly for MBA and then the placement eligibility starts. Average is between 10-15 lakhs and many prominent industries which we have heard of have started coming to IIM Jammu. Also, placements record were nearly 96% at IIM Jammu.

AIIMS JAMMU TOTAL REVEIW

Placement Experience:

You can get a job here after completing MBBS or md. Can go to any hospital or open your own. 1.5L per month is avg for a doctor. Starting around 90k a month. Internship gives 28500 per month. No batch has currently passed out from this college . Comparatively new college. 2020 batch(oldest batch) still doing internship.
