Remarks
This was the best engineering college in and near the surrounding districts for studying Computer Science. It was the best option among the colleges near my home town and within my merit range. The admission process was very simple, I had gone through the CAP process for admission through my JEE score and after being selected, I visited the college to get all the relevant information regarding the admission process. The staff was very helpful and everything was done without any issue. One more advantage in favor of the college is the fact that it is owned by a trust consisting of industry and business owners with true focus on education rather than any politician who own institutes with fancy infrastructure but compromised teaching. There has been a focus on further improvement regarding syllabus and courses after getting autonomy but it is currently in the early phase. The results will be seen after 5-10 years. The only problem I have is its relative remoteness but its not a big issue.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is standard and the efforts to change it are very recent. The current syllabus is rather old and needs to be renewed as per industry standards. Efforts are being taken but it will take considerable time to improve. The faculty ratio is around 6-9:70. Most of the faculty has been good and helpful. All maths teachers for both semesters have been very helpful and good at teaching. There are a few subjects which could have been taught a bit better but it isn't a big issue. The exams had a medium level of difficulty but not too demanding while also not being too simple. The teaching and non-teaching faculty has been very helpful. I had forgotten my ID card once but I was able to get a entry form and continue my exam without any issue. But the teachers are very strict regarding cheating and have removed students from the room for doing copying and snooping.
Placement Experience
Currently, I am just arriving in the 2nd year so I don't have any idea. But I have heard good things regarding campus placement so I am hopeful.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have availed the OPEN class through CAP process and paid a fee around 1 lakh per year.
Campus Life
There are club and department activities almost every week and there is always something new to do. There is a large annual gathering and also PBL competitions of each department. There is a large library with lot of space for studying and lots of books for anything we might need. There is an official youtube channel along with SM presence of the college. Individual clubs too have their own online channels.
