Remarks
It is a fantastic experience to study in this college. The college only provides undergraduate arts degrees, which gives a unique atmosphere. There are people with different personalities and skills, and the cultural blend is great.
Course Curriculum Overview
I liked the course curriculum very much. The topics were relevant and went deep into the subject matter. It was very interesting. We got to know so much and we read about many great pieces. Yearly exams were held, with smaller exams held from time to time. It was not very hectic.
Placement Experience
As it is not a technical college, there aren't placements as such. We could apply for private or government jobs after graduating, while many of us have gone on for higher studies. The college authorities are helpful in any way they can, however.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. It doesn't really cost too much - it's only about 8,000 rupees for the three year Bachelor's course. It's very affordable for the general public,= in an around Bankura and otherwise.
Campus Life
There are many different student activities and regular sporting participation. There are study tours to places that are important parts of the course. There are many different workshops and seminars held from time to time. There is an annual fest, called the 'Grand Alliance fest' that is held at the college, where famous personalities often make an appearance and there's participation from all around the region.
Admission
I got admission here on the basis of my 10+2 marks. I wanted to study arts after 12th, and Jamini Roy College is one of the better colleges under the affiliation of Bankura University in this field. SO I applied here and took admission when I was selected on their merit list.
Faculty
The faculty members are experienced and qualified. They teach well, holding our attention as they take us through the topics. We learned a lot from them, and we have a deeper understanding of the topics.
