Remarks

The college is very nice and possesses an awesome environment for studying. The faculty is very nice, the facilities are very good. Recommended by me to the students interested because the college is really good in my personal opiniion

Course Curriculum Overview

There are different courses for the students, which are BBA, MBA, B.Com, PG Diploma etcetera. The course duration for MBA is two years. The students can complete combined courses, as they wish. The college is affiliated to Vidyasagar University and the exams are held in semester-mode.

Placement Experience

The college assures placement for every student. The companies recruit candidates directly from the college through interviewing. The students are also given many options to choose from, as they like.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are different fees structure for different courses. For MBA, the fees are up to 15,000/- and the total fee is around Rs. 25,000. For combined courses, the fees can be up to 1.3 lacs. The college also provides scholarships for meritorious students to help them proceed with their studies.

Campus Life

The college grants the opportunity for the students to be refreshed from constant studying through extracurricular activities. The students can showcase their talents as they please. The college also arranges a self-funded Fest meant for both the students and the teachers once every year.

Hostel Facilities

There are two separate hostel buildings for both boys and girls. Every hostel building can shelter 45-50 students. The hostels are well maintained and furnished provided by the college community. The students are selectively let stay here.

Admission

The college intakes students through 4 all India exams, which are CAT, MAT, CMAT and JEMAT. The students are required to have a minimum of 50% marks for admission. The students are required to apply within a certain date.

The college faculty is very nice and friendly. The staff are welcoming and the professors are very helpful. They always help the students in need and their teaching techniques are very easy to comprehend. The college has an all-over a nice atmosphere.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement is a race here. Handfull of good companies with good roles will come but they take good chunk of students. So be prepare for that and don't worry about getting good companies, here many companies offers better packages than those good companies.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
