Remarks
I gave WBJEE and got selected in this college by the counseling method. I took ECE because it combines both hardware and software parts. The HOD of ECE department Saurav Mandal Sir and faculty like NSR Mam are truly supportive and always encouraging. The best department in DIATM.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose ECE because it is a combination of both hardware and software. The faculties are engaging and always supporting in any situation. Most of the faculties complete PhD or are pursuing PhD degree. We have to give 2 internal exams in either online or offline mode and Monthly Assessment at the end of every month. After every six months there are university/semester exams.
Placement Experience
Students can take part in campus placement from the 7th semester. The average placement package is around 3.5 LPA and the highest ranges till 8 LPA. Most of the students are placed. I want to get a job in an IT company after my completion of B.Tech.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the course recently were brought down to approx 3 lacs for 4 years.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted every year in the month of February or March. The tech fest is also conducted around this month. Enormous books are available but all are outdated but we have a departmental library which can be of help. The classrooms are spacious with good ventilation and lights. There are numerous activities taking place in the college by various technical and non-technical clubs. Every year cricket, football and volleyball competition is organized besides annual sports day. There are 5 clubs in the college out of which ROCA organizes the technical events, EDC for entrepreneurship events and Yodhaa for physical activities.
Hostel Facilities
There are 4 seaters and 2 seaters in the boy's hostel. You will get cold water in the summer months and hot water are there from geysers in winter. The quality of the food is the worst. Registration will be done when registering for college academics. After 2 years I left the hostel and rented a room in Rajbandh, 10 minutes walking distance from our college campus.
