Remarks

After securing a decent rank in AIEEE, I was waiting for getting shortlisted in a national brand. Cleared the same on 3rd round of counseling and continued it for the next 4 years. Although this college was not known to me, neither geographically nor as a brand but after getting admission into it I got to know a lot of things which made this college special in its own ways.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty available are not equipped with modern-day methodology, the same old textbooks are being referred. Although all the available faculties are helpful in their traditional ways but are hesitant in approaching a modern way of teaching. From the beginning of 2015, they started recruiting some youth professors for the advancement of the teaching standards.

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty decent, as many of the classmates who have not even prepared for the campus interview got placed in big MNCs by just involving in some of the group discussions that we use to conduct in the hostel for all the 7th-semester students,

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were pretty decent to handle but as per my recent update, the institution has worked a lot on the advancement of the infrastructure due so parallelly they have raised the fees as well.

Campus Life

Life on the campus was quite robust with the kind of exposure you get in by having top-notch students around you. People from across India were sharing knowledge and culture on the same campus was a beautiful thing to notice on a daily basis.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
