It is not a research oriented college but you will definitely get some off good experience and good teachers also If you are opted for cse and it branch then there is 90% chance to get placed by compus There is some of good companies like Infosys Accenture are comes in college for placements.

Placement is good for only cse and it. There is very less chance to placed in other branches. There is only it companies are visit for placement there is very rare chances of core branch

There is 4 events are celebrated in year 1.cultural meet 2.sports meet 3.annual function 4.convocation Cultural meet is celebrated in months of September is which many of competition done by students Sports meet is held march and in this event there is many of sports related events are done

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is not expensive My total 4 years tuition fees was something about 3.5 lac. This college would costly for other state students because they will not get any type of scholarship but it is very good for local students some of the students are get admited as a Sikh reservation.

There is not any scholarship for other states students. I was opted for education loan and this process is very easy you have to make a bonafide fee structure and placement record and went to your nearest bank and submit your data you will definitely get education loan.

Compus life was very good and they are very friendly person Punjab is very good for exploring your self some of the interesting things are happend with me also with my senior they are weird and I don't like this type of personality. Some of my friends are very good by nature

Hostel Facilities

I am not opted for hostel because of there is 4 students live in a single room and I am not comfortable for that But hostel facilities are not bad some of my friends are opted for hostel and they are very satisfied for that. Pg are also available with same charges of hostel and there is option for live single or can share room. Rent is approx 2000 per months

Alumni/Alumna

In College there is not any junior senior relationship between students they are not attached with you and there is not any ragging option Ragging is strictly prohibited is our compus. There is only one good thing that is lovers point you can expend lots of time with your partner at lovers points.

Faculty

Faculty is defenatly not good they are very less qualified and I think there is maximum 1 or 2 PhD holders are in cse department. Some of the tha faculty are good in civil departments but in civil departments placement chances are very less. Faculties nature are good they are always ready to help.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

For taking admission in this college you can take admission on the basis of your board exam marks. You can get admission if you have minimum 40% marks in your board exam as well. For taking admission in CSE or IT branch you should have atleast 85% or more marks scored in your board exam. If you are from home state you might get reservation benefit. In this college 85% seats are reserved for home state students and rest 15% for other students as well as for home state.
