Amazing College

The college has the experienced faculties and are very generous to help their students out. The location of the college is in the city center so one can easily reach from public transport. The industrial experience you can have while studying is very good as the city has many textile industries and many of owners are alumini of the college.

The course structure on most of the indian colleges in outdated but the faculty gave us the more practical knowledge keeping the books aside. The exams are more traditional theoritical. Practicals too are part of the exams but not as much of importance.

The placement particularly in the textile field is good as the Surat itself has the vast industry and the demand for the graduates is there. There are many local companies coming for the placement in college like Donear, Garden, Ultra Denim, Laxmipati Sarees, Mafatlaal etc. There is also a good oppurtunity for internships and almost everyone willing gets the chance. I have done internships at two companies. One is Mafatlal and other is Wellspun India.

There are many events taking place in the college during the year. But the main two events are Kshitij which is a technical fest and verve which is a cultural fest. Many times we even get a chance to organize GTU techfest. It is the event of the Gujarat Technological University and Stundents from all over india come to participate.

The fees structure of the college is bot costly. The fees during my graduation for 75000? per annum which is now almost 100000? per annum. The payment can be dome through cheque and Demand Draft only. There is nominal library fees and deposit which is refundable.

No the college offers no scholarship and I havent taken any loans. There is one provision for the economic weaker sections which is called TFWS quota. For this quota you must have a income certificate and good merit from others who have applied in the quota as there are limited seats alloted.

The campus life is cool. The gender ratio must be almost 2:1. The students here are cool friendly not any intolerance for any particular religion or economic status. There is no as such parties in the college rather than fest. The students organise the parties outside the campus which is unofficial.

No I havent opted for the hostel. The old hostel in which I have visited was not good at at all. It was too old but fees was much less. Now the college has the new hostel which is clean and tidy with the modern facilities.

Yes the seniors are most helpful during the 1st year. They tell us about the college environment, faculties, subjects to be well taken care of and everything. They help you to settle down in the college. There is no form of ragging or bullying for anyone. The mutual respect prevails.

I got the admission in the college on the basis of 12th Board results and Jee entrance test. The board gives the ranking based on the two results which is called ACPC rank. According to that you can apply in the colleges all over gujarat on the ACPC website.

The faculty in field are most experienced one. The researches in the fields are immense. They keep themselves and the students updated about the new technologies and products in the field. The are mostly two faculties per subject. We have been to many industrials visits across the India.
