Remarks

Best college if you get used to it. Best both for learning and living life happily.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is nice. Only the students have to put more effort. Students should make use of clinical classes and learn more things practically. Now all subjects are taught integrated. So students can connect them nicely and become good doctors. Both theory and clinical classes take place.

Placement Experience

5

There are no placements in medical colleges. So nothing can be commented on this question. You work hard. Complete your degree. Try for a pg seat or work on your own or in a private hospital.

College Events

4

The culturals is called Euphoria and it takes place in a grand manner. Students from several other colleges participate in it. It's open for every college. Sports event is called stanlea and it's only for medical colleges. Several medical colleges participate in it. Both events offer very high prize money and it's prestigious to win the overall prize in both fests here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very much less. Yearly 13, 200. And hostel fee may be monthly 5000 including room rent, food. Other expenses are based on you. Books cost high. There are no additional charges since it is a government college. It's the cheapest. Almost everyone can afford it.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not opted. But if you are a first generation student then u can avail a scholarship which offers 40, 000 per year. It's very useful.

Campus Life

3.5

There is no racial, religious discrimination here. Everyone is considered equal here. Gender ratios - it almost a 50:50. Economic status plays no role here. Stanley is the second best ranked hospital in whole of tamilnadu. That must say everything.

Alumni/Alumna

Stanley alumni is there and they are very active and conduct alumni meetings, gatherings. They also help the undergrad students there.

Admission

I got 1181 in board exams and my cut off was 198. 75. Through counselling I got admission in Stanley medical College. But now admission is done through Neet exam. There is counselling for neet exam top scorers and a 75% quota for tamilnadu students.

Faculty

5

Every staff is experienced here. They have seen a lot of cases and are a expert of their own. Most of the professors are above 50 and have an experience of more than 25 years in the field. Inspite of clinical burden they take time to teach undergraduate students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college strictly follows NMC rules and which is a very good thing as it helps us prepare for both theory and practical as theory give u the vast knowledge and practical allows us to imply what we learnt and also after the new rules of introducing histology we can also apply the idea of more creativity in a field a lot of creativity is yet to be unfolded they also cover important aspects through regular workshops and educate us with guest lectures from other colleges the important improvement which should be done is having the patience to teach a. Crowd of 250 which teachers should undergo special 2-3 classes to make sure they know what they teach is being reached out to everyone the timing of exam and everything is on time theh give us enough time to prepare and get ready
