Remarks

The college is an average one. If you don't get any college in mumbai area then one can opt for this one in Navi mumbai. But do check the placement facts from the current batch.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is as designed by the mumbai university. so there is no part of college in it. All the colleges under mumbai university has the same course curriculum. The course structure is not so well designed and doesn't help much to make a better professional.

Placement Experience

The college doesn't help you get internship. You have to find an internship on your own. However the placement cell does arrange for some drives at the campus. TCS is the only major recruiter at the campus. Who definitely hires 60-70 people.

College Events

Many events happen through out the year. There is one technical event called Avalon. Where there is technical paper presentation, robotics, gaming events etc. It is open for participation for all the colleges. Then there is a cultural event called Resonance and antarang. Antarang is a traditional event while resonance includes fashion show, dance, dj night etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible. Compared to other colleges with the same grade, the fees here was less. But there is a gradual increase in fees every year. One can expect to pay around one lakh rupees per year if you belong to open category. There are no other charges to be paid in adition to this yearly fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does offer scholarship opportunities to the students. However the processs is quite tedious. I don't know about it because I have not opted for scholarship.

Campus Life

The campus life is not very happening. But if you could get the right friends you would enjoy. Gender ratio is 2:3 female: male. The labs are good. I mean few labs are good not all. There is also a sports event called TPL terna premier League which is fun. Other then that there are no major events.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors were very helpful during the entire course. One can always go and ask for any help required and get the guidance for the same. However, the Alumni network is not very strong.

Admission

Admission for any course at the college is through the Cap rounds which is a centralised proceess of admission for all colleges in the state i. e Maharashtra state. And it is on the merit basis of the marks obtained in state cet exam called MHT-CET for engineering.

Faculty

The faculty is a mix. One would find some really talented professors who can give you an in-depth knowledge about the subject while others will not be so helpful. You would have 7-8 lectures a day. Average age of the lecturers is 35-40. The lecturers hold relevant industry-experience.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. I applied for this college bcoz I want ai&ds branch and this branch is available in this college. And i checked all colleges nearby me so in thane there were no colleges were look good or has that much facilities shown in google and in central line there are some colleges but they has minority like Muslim, gujrati, christian and all in western line it will be far too regular travelling bcoz of family concern they not ready for hostel so I have to go for new mumbai colleges bcoz my relatives also live there so they concern me to check thane or new mumbai side college so in new mumbai that time I see only that college has those branch and my percentile of cet that time was 85 percentile something so in first list i got selected for sc ladies seat in those branch there are only 1 seat for ladies in those category so I got this so I thought it would be ok so I freeze those seat and get a admission by admission process in college so basically i didn't get rejected by any college. But that time while admission there are restrictions that only online payment will accepted so that time my family wasn't use online payment we was prefering cash so we have to request relatives to pay via online and then we give them cash so that part was terrifying And there are so many processes while admission 1st time.and not that all process in one floor another floors with another classrooms that was headache part bcoz we are with our parents that time .
