The college management has very honest and hardworking staff. I would say that Hislop college provides the best environment to study and deveop in a holistic way.

The curriculum was very contemporary and relevant to the need of the time. It was very much research driven . Not only this but the assessment of the student was not only based on exams but various different activities like- Active participation in classroom activities, Workshops, competitions as well as on surprise tests. We were also encouraged in Psycho -Dramas where we had to enact different situations of Psychopathology. Psychology students do not generally get packages after graduations in any colleges.

The on-campus placements of our college is very attractive. The commerce students get high packages from companies like Mapro etc. I am a Psychology student and basically no college offers on-campus placements for Psychology graduates.

Hislop College is not only famous for its academics and education but is also a leading college in extra-curricular college. The festivals and cultural programs that the college organizes are very much grand in all the aspects starting from the decoration to the number of participants. The college organizes many inter-college competitions in which students from various colleges take active participation. Experts in the fields are invited for judging the competitions. Many companies sponsor the programs that the college organizes. The Rotary Club also takes many good initiatives to contribute for the noble cause of helping the society. Hislop college had adopted the Marriam Nagar in Nagpur.

The college provides full transparency in the Fee-breakdown. The fee structure is very feasible and students from every section can afford the education. The college does not take any donation and the admission is solely based on the students caliber and not on any other criteria. There are some seats reserved for SCs, STs and Minorities.

Yes the college offer scholarship to the financially weak students. I dont know much about it as I did not apply for it.

The male female student ratio is near normal. One of the most interesting fact about Hislop college is that there are students from all the classes i.e from higher, middle and lower class. Many Students also come from North East states as well as from other states. Therefore, our college has a large diversity.Students organize different parties like freshers party, ice-breaking sessions, trips, farewell parties etc. Hislop College organizes many inter-college competitions, Exhibitions like Psychodrama, the Rotract and NSS are very much active in social activities, The college also organizes many cultural programs also. In this way Hislop college gives a very creative environment to its students to develop and achieve there goals.

We had very helping and friendly seniors . Telling about the alumni I have not met any one personally but I have read about them on google. The alumni of Hislop College include Mr. Baba Amte ( Senior Social Worker), Mr.Bohman Hirani ( Film Director), Mr.Devendra Fadnavis ( Ex Chief Minister of Maharashtra )

The Psychology Department has around 9-10 Faculties including the regular and guests lecturers. our Head of the Department is also the Principal of the College. She is doctorate in Psychology.Almost all the faculties have completed doctorate in Psychology. The teaching style of the teachers is very clear and engaging. They also make us take active parts in the discussions so as to clear the topic thoroughly.
