Remarks

Management was good indeed. Strictness is needed to pursue the goals in future. Really loved to be a part of SATHYABAMA UNIVERSITY.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course Curriculum & Exam Structure is very much relevant to the reality, research - driven and fair. As I had choosen the branch Civil it was my priority to make myself knowledgeable both in theoritical & practical way thus studied with the spark to achieve good ranks. Finally, ended with 3rd Rank in Civil Department for the Batch 2010-2014

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements were great. Mostly got placed till the end; but unfortunately in civil from my 2010-14 batch at the first phase placements were not upto the mark in comparison to the other branches of the same batch. Initially only 8 of us got placed in IT companies out of total Civil branch strength of 210. It happened as many of the students were reluctant to study hard upon the years & got the back papers where eligibility didn't meet & they were not allowed to seat. On the other way many got rejected in 3rd or 4th round of interviews.

College Events

4

Tech Fiesta, Fem Fest, Management Fests, Annual Cultural Programs. They were big enough with the minimum participation of 4000-5000 approximately. There were songs, dance performances, magic shows, band performances etc. Food was awesome & people would loved to participate in all the cultural events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was quiet feasible in terms of all other colleges across. We had only per year tution fees of INR 97, 000 (For Day Scholars) and tution fees of INR 1, 27, 000 (For Hostel Students); which means extra 30, 000 per year they used to take as Hostel Fees. In our university, food is free of cost and also the commute system which helped we students to manage our pocket money and also to save money.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't availed for any education loan or any scholarships. As scholarships were not available during my time. I am sure as now SATHYABAMA UNIVERSITY conducts the entrance exam there must be the provision for scholarships at present based on the rank list.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus Life was good for those who can abide by all the strict rules & regulations. Gender Ratio was 50 Male -50 Female & sometimes I felt like 60 Male - 40 Female Campus had organized couple of events related to extracurricular activities, debate competitions, paper presentations etc. Our campus also had the facilities like indoor and outdoor sports like football, cricket, basketball. Gym was available. Also, labs and libraries were also being part of the campus.

Hostel Facilities

5

Firstly yes and that too just for 2 months. As the study schedule were different for roommates so it was hard to study at own individual time so then left the hostel and became a day scholar. Some strictness were harsh in the hostel and also use of multimedia phones were not allowed so it was tough to survive over there. There were also issues like network problems thus felt hard to talk to the parents even.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network was great and also senior students helped in providing the outlook on the placement and market opportunities well ahead our on campusing started; thereby helped us to prepare well during pre-placement duration.

Admission

Admission happened on the basis of merit list as during that time SATHYABAMA UNIVERSITY didn't started any entrance exam. Date of Admission : 23 Aug 2014 Commencement of Class : 8 Sep 2014 (1st Semester) Factors to choose the institution: 1. Good facilities (Library, Commute system, Food etc. ) 2. Well disciplined & strict guidelines 3. No ragging 4. Good On Campus Placement opportunities 5. Good Faculties 6. Good Laboratories

Faculty

5

Faculties were well educated & nurtured us all the subjects like the guardians. They were very much friendly, matured & understandable. It had been a great journey with all the faculty members of the department through out. In fact we usually used to go to those faculties home to clarify doubts if needed.

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year, they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course. The placement is around 95 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus. There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.
