Remarks

Overall Amity Lucknow is really good when compared to other campuses. They give you quality education. Spending money here is worth it

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Yes it is. They ask you to conduct research, go out on the field, attend seminars, gives you opportunity to participate in various events and workshop which eventually helps us in our professional and individual growth. The module is completely factual and the teachers are really supportive.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are good. Various media houses come here for the placements but getting placed depends on one’s skills and calibre. The internships are suggested by the department. One can always find his or her own internship too.

College Events

5

Amiphoria is one of the biggest event in out college. Sangathan too is held here every year. The students get to expose them to the wide audience and show their talents. The event has heavy media coverage and recognition. Celebrity guests are invited.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I’d say it’s bit expensive for most people. We pay 1 lakh per semester here. For four semesters, we’re playing 4 lakhs. As far as I know, there’s no addition fees/ charges that has to be paid in order to secure an admission in the course. Yes there’s transparency in the fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven’t opted for any scholarship or education loans. One can always apply for education loans here if he fits the criteria.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio here is like 50:50. The life in amity Lucknow campus is really colourful. There’s an orientation when you get here, you can given a proper freshers party and a farewell once done with the course. Events are held regularly in most of the departments. Debates, panel discussions and extempore are a regular affair here.

Hostel Facilities

4

No I haven’t opted for hostel. But as far as I know, it costs around a lakh per year for non-ac rooms and a 1.5 lakhs a year for ac rooms. Mess charges are paid here on a daily basis. The rooms are spacious.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they’re helpful if you reach out to them.Senior are really friendly and so is the alumni network.

Admission

After my graduation, I needed to come to back to my city as my family needed me here. Amity Lucknow was the best option for me here when it comes to my course. While I was in Noida only, I filled the online application and paid some 1100 bucks for it. I had to upload my graduation, high school and intermediate marksheets I was told I’d be notified if I’m selected for the interview. 3 days later I was notified via text and on my application domain that I’ve been selected for the interview and I can choose the mode of interviews I.e online or face to face. I chose the face to face interview which was scheduled few days later. Once I was back in Lucknow, I went for the interview which was taken by the Head of Department. I cleared the interview and was selected. The classes were supposed to commence few days later post interview.

Faculty

5

Our faculty is really learned. Our HOD has written a national selling book and has worked with the Press Trust of India for more than 25 years. Other faculties too are very much established in their respective fields. They have experience in Radio, electronic and print media. Our photography teacher, Trilochan Kalra Sir has even acted in many Bollywood films which included Amitabh Bacchan starter Gulaboositaboo

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I wanted to become an English Professor, the course really helped me a lot in getting an insight into English Literature. The professors are very encouraging. The curriculum not only relies on the traditional method of teaching but also various co curricular activities are conducted to prepare the students for the real world. Each student is given an opportunity to prove herself. As the exams are conducted annually we get a lot of time to prepare accordingly.

Economics is a very good and a very interesting subject. The curriculum over here focuses from basic to advance level . It starts its syllabus from basic micro and cover almost every field of economics. The curriculum try to give application in real world by adding dissertations, field surveys in syllabus. There are 4 semester in master and in every semester there is an end semester exam (that is of 70) and mid semester exam (that is of 30 marks) . The exam is mostly moderate .
