Excellent Engineering College

Nothing bad about college just city Hassan is a small town in Karnataka thus students coming from big cities find it boring place to live

Excellent college establishing in 1962 thus very old college with great faculties most of them are PHD 's from abroad and also IIT's etc. Overall campus is big enough to explore different things not only studies but sports etc. Also a great place to make life long friends

Placement of college is very average with reputation it commands and one gets really demotivated due to it apart from Computer engineering branch other branch fail to get any good companies for placement at all

There are annual events where different branches participate for various competitions. Also inter branch activities also take place where different year students compete with each other in academic and sports activities. It also has a Olympic size swimming pool to enjoy free time doing swimming and enjoying with your friends

very moderate compared to most other colleges of same infrastructure and reputation. Also with such a big hostel along with college is very good place with fees they charge for it. I m talking about 16 year back situation thus not sure what is the fees structure at present but im sure it wont on expensive side at all

No i have not opted for loan and i didn't got any scholarship from college either. But there are loan opportunity with many nationalized bank ready to give you loan to complete your studies

Gender ratio is not very severely disproportionate only mechanical branch is one where you will not find any girls or 1-2 in the batch of 120 otherwise remaining all branches have equal ratio of both genders. Also their are lot of extracurricular activities in campus happening every weekend where students can go and spend time learn and enjoy and make new friends.

Only first year then shifted outside as food served in mess is of not great quality. Hostel is big enough to accommodate 400 students separate boys and girls hostel along with their own mess. If you are use to eating variety in food then mess for sure disappoints to large extent.

Alumni association is not that strong to boast about it even though college is so old. I'm not sure if now it has improved from what it has been around 7-8 years back but don't have high expectations of it.

through entrance exam conducted every year for all students after their 12th class and as per performance on entrance exam one gets admission in different colleges and branches. Exam is called CET combined entrance exam which is open for all students of Karnataka and also for other states but number of seats for other states is less compared for Karnataka students

Faculty of most branches are Phds thus you get to learn from really qualified professors which is beneficial for your over all learning. Also with friendly attitude of most professor learning becomes fun instead of monotonous.Above that many faculities are conducting research where if student is interested he or she can join the professor in his research work.
