Remarks

Studies are too good. Each concept is taught very well

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is robust with the best faculty. The faculty is experienced and more focused on a practical approach. After studying you will be confident in qualifying for gate or higher education entrance exam. The industry visits are well organized and college pushes the company to take as much as they can.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement cell tries to place each student. They push the company to take as much as they can. The training of the placement cell is so robust that most of the students qualify for written.

College Events

4.5

Mostly on the technical ground, there is ample of the workshop goes on the complete year. One of them is the technical hurdle, the robot build and functioning competition. The gajajyoti for annual sports and culture front in which people enjoy and relax from day to day hard studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The quality of education and placement offered makes it feasible for everyone to pay the fees. The fees are nominal the life is simple college only focuses on studies and placement. The concept of engineering is taught in a practical manner that once taught you will remember for long.

Fees and Financial Aid

The state scholarship is available which is availed by most of the students. Apart from that if you win any technical hurdle you get award and prize money.

Campus Life

5

The sex ratio in engineering is quite poor. It's 10:6 ratio. But the labs and sports complex are well maintained. They charge money from caution deposit if you break anything as such. Overall the workshop, lab and college are well maintained. You would love it once you are there.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are very helpful. They help in guiding fresher to get into the job. Not only on the interview, but the skill to possess to qualify for interviews.

Admission

You need to first fill the application form. Depending on your marks of 10th 12th and entrance examination they will give you the choice of branches. you need to select from the list of branches in which you are eligible to apply. after applying you need to go through the interview process in order to get through the course.

Faculty

4.5

We can access our college faculty through mobile, extra classes or through Webex whenever required. The faculty are very helpful to help at any point in time. They are always ready for brainstorm if the student is interested and is a will to learn. The faculty is well qualified.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
